@Sigil
That they shot down Bulma's solution does not mean they will shoot down every solution, especially not ones in different situations. Goku didn't feel good about pre-emptively killing Gero or not testing the Androids, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't have used them to deal with Cell if he knew of no other way. He actively tried to avoid releasing Majin Boo later, and while there are points where he extends things, he has reasons for that and he also shows a willingness to take easier solutions (potara on 3 occasions, wanting to bring Goran to deal with Boo).
The Cell arc only established one scenario that Goku isn't okay with.
At his worst, Goku would never say 'let's not solve the problem even if we have no other way!' but they just ignore the super balls. It's definitely not consistent.
I blame Trunks mostly for not telling and maybe he didn't know but Goku would possibly been less likely to view Gero as if he hadn't done anything yet if he knew about all the kids he kidnapped and experimented on
Gero's hands were very much not clean
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt doesn't matter if Gero hasn't done anything, you can just go to his lab and destroy his equipment or something, or at least confiscate his research.
It should also be noted that he's former RRA personnel so he's probably wanted for war crimes or something anyway. He's not like the Terminator guy just making a computer.
Finally, this is not some sort of random danger, someone from the future has literally come back to warn them that they will all die. Goku should have been taking this way more seriously but he didn't. And as you say Saiga, he takes it more seriously at other times. Because in those other times Goku being proactive wasn't enough to prevent the plot going forward.
Toriyama has already shown that if he can't get the plot to work normally he'll just have the characters make stupid - or even out-of-character stupid - decisions just to move the plot along, and I don't see any difference in the Super Dragonballs and the regular Dragonballs for that.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"There is rule episode 34 of Super.
Not surprising.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That's a very hot-button topic.
I haven't watched GT outside of a handful of important bits so I can't really say, but I think the consensus has been that they end up falling into a lot of the very same pitfalls for very similar reasons.
Though I think most people have agreed that Super is better by virtue of having at least a solid handful of well-written episodes, at least one really good arc, better moments on average, and the filler episodes actually being enjoyable.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeIt also has the benefit of modern animation.
Visually speaking this is some the best shit we've seen in the entire franchise though it doesn't happen as often as one would like.
Hold off on that question though till you've seen the original stuff that's not copy & pasting the movies.

It's a topic alright...GT is fine.

I don't think GT and Super are very different on the last points raised. There are some well written moments from GT as well. Or at least, relatively well written, which is the best either can aspire to.
The most convincing difference I've seen raised is that Super introduced some compelling characters and that gives it something left over after you sort out all the bad from both series. Indeed, I don't think GT introduced any new characters as interesting as Beerus, Whis or Hit. But two of those are really from BOG.
Yeah Beerus hasn't really been used that we'll since BOG. He's hit and miss but has seemed better lately mostly because Goku is so bad he becomes the voice of reason.
Baby's pretty fun, the main thing about the characters I mentioned is that they aren't villains so they stand out more.

Like. The only things from GT that stand out as good are SSJ 4, Baby, and maybe Omega Shenron. Everything else is taken pretty negatively.
Whereas with Super pretty much every major transformation and villain is at minimum recognizable and well-received, even if the execution was botched.
Though that could very well be a product in the time each series was produced.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI'll actually fully watch GT at some point so I can give a fair comparison. Admittedly I'm rather biased towards Super at the moment, though I doubt that bias will go away considering how much I love Beerus, the idea behind the Super Saiyan God forms, and the concept of the multiple universes.

I admit, I chuckled.
