Because they are usually using it against characters who are way more powerful than them, so they can't hurt the other guys anyway.
One Strip! One Strip! It'd probably be handy in evenly matched... matches where the outcome could go either way
I don't know that there are many of those in dbz though
Forever liveblogging the Avengersoh my god the goddamned solar flare
Goku could have:
- done his Kienzan trick and then Solar Flare'd Jiren the moment he fell off.
- if Jiren was about to leap back up, Flare him so he hits a wall and keeps falling
- if the flare doesn't slow him down, IT over to him and down-smash, and then IT back to Vegeta
- if Goku doesn't have time, down-smash Jiren anyway and let Vegeta and 17 take care of Toppo and Dyspo

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!The Solar Flare x100 is a variation that doesn't just blind your opponent but also masks your ki signature, presumably because the Solar Flare is just a very bright ki explosion. Goku didn't use it in the tournament, he used Krillin's trick of directing Kienzan to destroy the ground beneath the opponent's feet. Krillin did use it in the tournament, but it was foiled by Majora being blind and navigating by scent.
Goku: Solar FLARE!
Jiren: Ah... so you think the sun is your ally... but you merely adopted the sun, Goku. I was born in it, molded by it... I didn't know of the dawn until I was already a man. By then it was nothing to me but blinding! -decks Goku-

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Turns out Heroes might be getting amiibo-like figures.
The scan calls them "skills", pretty bland name if I do say so myself. I also added some high quality images of things that were shown off last time, such as the Ultimate Dragon Fist cards and the dreaded Zenoball.
Lets be honest. If Goku had used the Solar Flare, Jiren would have had some kind of counter towards it.
Most techniques in Dragonball exist to undergo The Worf Barrage. They are there to be countered by Goku or the enemy he's fighting.
One Strip! One Strip!Pretty much.
Though at least it had the honour of actually working a few times before it failed.
One Strip! One Strip!Or just, you know, ki sensing. (Though Krillin's improved version exists to mask that. Maybe Jiren's training allows him to sense outright life energy. Or maybe he can hear his opponent breathing.)

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Glare beats Flare...
Seems legit, don't it?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Krillin's improved version was blatant filler that ammounted to nothing. Red Herring through and through.
They didn't say it would be that useful, did they?
They didn't even give the new version to anyone else...

Because most of the time that's only when it would matter. Except Cell, when he just did it to get Trunks out of his way for a second, he didn't run away.
