I heard they took out Jimizu and Katopesla earlier
That's going to end a Riddle for the Ages, isn't it?
Jiren's ass is the MVP of the Tournament.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Toriyama doesn't care about writing fight scenes and the Tournament is one big fight scene, so that sounds pretty likely.
I mean in Super.

I'm pretty sure he must care about fight scenes. He's been writing them for years.
...then again, it would explain his tendency to repeat patterns in fights, or set up characters with power ups that amount to nothing, and the basic simplicity of his fights (higher power level equals I've already won).
I'll believe when I hear it straight from his lips myself.
One Strip! One Strip!Episode 128: I liked it a bunch. I'm a sucker for any and all "character struggles to fight vastly more powerful enemy they have no chance against because they're the only one left and they can't back down" stories. Plus quite frankly no one can get their ass kicked quite like Vegeta. I really liked that flashback to the very beginning of Super where Vegeta and his family go on an outing and Vegeta pretends not to care.
I would've appreciated that moment more were it not for Goku having the exact same moment in the next half of the episode.
Also, how the heck does Vegeta not have enough energy to power up, but enough spare energy to use Final Flash (take a shot) and give Goku enough energy to turn Super Saiyan Blue again?

1. Just so I know (even though I’m pretty certain that I’m not going to like the answer): is the danger that come with the tournament of power (I.e. getting erased from existence) really Goku’s fault?
2. How much is Goku really willing to go in order to protect Chi-Chi, Gohan, Videl, Pan and Goten and make certain that they are alive and safe from harm?
...At least Vegeta got beat up.
And Ultra Instinct is still pretty hype.
Nothing much more to say to be honest.
One Strip! One Strip! That was a bad episode by Super standards.
Vegeta's been way too many 'LAST stands' this arc for it to mean anything. Especially if they're going to exaggerate it to the point where base Vegeta is out of energy but Jiren doesn't just flick him out of the ring.
And no, it's not cool for Vegeta to say "I'm more than enough to beat you" or "this form is enough to beat you" when it's so ridiculously false. Vegeta's bravado this episode is meaningless, and it's such a foregone conclusion that it's not interesting to watch. Furthermore, in the end his struggle achieves absolutely nothing, which is exactly what Jiren was saying the whole time. The peanut gallery gasping in shock and horror doesn't sell it, because this fight is hilariously non-brutal (like 99% of Super).
The one thing Vegeta DID achieve - giving Goku is remaining energy - would have been more impressive if he'd done that sooner, instead of wasting time trying to ineffectually wail on Jiren. Furthermore, it also makes burning energy on Jiren a BAD idea because it gives him less to donate to Goku.
Then we have pretty much the exact same fight for Goku vs Jiren, and UI doesn't come back until the very end. They really overdid it by drawing it out so much and having it come back on the final, overly dramatic punch. Finally, it's back, and we can hopefully have a more even fight from this point.
God giving the To P a time limit was probably the worst thing they could do for this arc because it makes Jiren look like an enormous moron just standing around and not fucking eliminating Goku and Vegeta. Seriously by all rights U11 should’ve won 5 eps ago but that thundering dumbass just won’t win for some reason.
Do you know what people want the most? Something somebody else has.Oh yeah, I was thinking on that again this episode. The time limit was also unnecessary, they could have just not had one and said it's last team standing.
The earlier strategies of keeping their numbers high until time ran out would have been nice... if it was ever going to matter
There's still a chance that time runs out and U 7 wins because Freeza was in it, but that kind of twist wouldn't be worth all the stupidity surrounding the time limit.
So it looks like the Frieza wins the whole thing by accident theory is for real.
That being said, while we are pretty unimpressed, in universe, you can understand that everyone else is kinda distracted.
One Strip! One Strip!Okay seriously Jiren is a fucking sadist.
He is drawing this out far longer than necessary & instead of simply flicking or just plain throwing them out of the ring he just keeps beating the shit outta them when it no longer serves any actual purpose.
He's both a dumbass & a jackass.
No one appears to be doing that though despite how simple & easy it be to actually do.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The wierdest part is that Jiren seemed way stronger when he was just crossing his arms than when he was actually fighting, because it's taking him so long to make eliminations. This is just the least good parts of the Freeza fight cropping up.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I cannot believe I watched an episode that was literally just "Vegeta punches on Jiren for ten minutes while out of power, thinks about his family, and then loses. Goku punches on Jiren for ten minutes while out of power, thinks about his family (and friends), and then gets a power up." Did we really need to do that twice in one episode?

Right.
They should have just started the manga first, and then done the anime. Focus on one version before the other so there's some consistency.
One Strip! One Strip!
