Jiren is not the new Broly.
Jiren doesn't have the maximumer appeal. Jiren is just the brick we need to get rid off. I doubt he can be redeemed in these last episodes. Goku defeats him, he probably changes his ways or something, poof, and then is revived with the Super Dragon Balls.
Shit, now I miss Ribrianne. At least she was annoying on purpose.
I don't like Laughingstock Media. His voice is boring, he drags the points for too long, and tells me things I already know.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.He does have one hope for salvation: the dub. They could play around with him enough to make him at least ironically enjoyable.
This song needs more love.Well, they did it before, yeah. But it would take at least two years to hear him.
Let's hope Xenoverse make him sound goofy just like Goku Black and Hit. I'm pissed Hit never said anything about donuts in Fighter Z.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. The problem is that they want to have Jiren be overwhelming, but they also want U7 to look impressive against him by holding their own, so we get no progress either way, even though by all rights he should be able to end this in an instant.
That Jiren didn't just do that from the very beginning of the tournament was always stupid, but at least then you had the excuse of there being more time and his teammates around to actually do the work. Now there are only three minute left and he's the last one, and he's still not going all out because...reasons.
And none of this is helped by repeated cutting back to the peanut gallery and their meaningless comments and continuing to be surprised by things that shouldn't surprise them at all by this point.

What if Jiren had explicitly said something early on like he wouldn't be a party to the death of an entire universe nor would he stand by and let his own be destroyed?
To explain why he's in the tournament but why he doesn't go all out until the end.
Actively fighting would mean going against his heroic morals that he would presumably have in this version but not being in the tournament means surrendering his responsibility to defend his own.
I mean its not much of a personality but 'i'm bummed that now I have to effectively spell the doom of billions' is something.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI got an idea: Jiren is not portrayed as overwhelming but immensely strong like Goku & despite not wanting to fight he is forced to overcome trials during the tournament just like Goku. Then in their first match he is mystified & horrified at this stranger who posses awe-inspiring power like him but appears only in it for the fight with thoughts like "Son Goku why do you fight, what drives you? No matter what I won't lose if my home is on the line." He is slowly overcome with despair as the tournament goes on & his teammates keep falling while Goku still chill causing him to have a breakdown in their rematch.
Basically a perspective flip and make Jiren an MC of the arc & a better foil to Goku.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Goku would make a good smug anime villain, even given how well-meaning he is much of the time.
He has secret forms he doesn't tell anyone about and everything.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think the arena should have been an entire planet, with the time limit for the battle royal obviously extended to account for fighters having to walk on foot instead of flying to their next opponent. That way Jiren would get to look impressive against anyone he fought while the heroes would be safe from his plot-ending strength.

For Universe 11, I feel like Toppo revealing he was a candidate for God of Destruction and then losing control of himself would've been a more interesting conclusion to all of this, especially if he had gotten more emphasis in the middle of the arc. If anything, the ultimate ideas behind Jiren and Toppo are rather similar, but Toppo's "goes increasingly Knight Templar over the situation until he becomes singularly obsessed with strength" is a lot more interesting than Jiren's "obsessed with strength, period."
Seconding Paparoni, also.

Definitely one of the greatest songs ever to come out of DB & anything in general.
Huh right we are at the end after all.
