Gohan writing a book explaining Ki usage is still one of the best ideas Online ever did.
This song needs more love.Assuming Online still matters, he published a book explaining ki control to the layperson from a scientific point of view, so his field of expertise is probably studying super-powers in Dragon Ball, which probably amounts to a combination of biology and physics.

Gohan could very well be studying elements related to health and/or personal living. Seems like something Gohan would study and it lines up with what happened in Online (which I'm pretty sure Toriyama outlined what happened).
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI found S Cells mostly unnessecary. It's pretty late to be changing the explanation for Super Saiyan, and it wasn't needed to explain away previous uses of it.
It also doesn't help the new Super Saiyans, who didn't have any SS parents to inherit from but had an extremely easy time, and it doesn't fit Gohan who was born before Goku had SS and still obtained Super Saiyan around the time of Goten and Trunks.
It'd be better if he'd done away with the inheritance factor, and focused on the peaceful environment part. I can agree that that is extremely weird for Saiyans, but it's interesting.
Though it still raises more questions than it answers - was Goku's life really more peaceful than the average Saiyan? Was Gohan's? Because despite Saiyans being a warrior race, they mostly dropped on planets, turned Oozaru and slaughtered defenseless races then returned home to rest and celebrate.
I don't know that that is significantly more stressful than the shit that Goku/Gohan went through. And Vegeta, with his battle power, should have had an extremely cruisey life before coming to Earth.
Also, wouldn't this mean Gohan's slacking off is actually good for his S cells?
Okay, okay I just noticed it.
So Jiren called Toppo a loser for casting off his ideals for greater strength yet is all about "Muh Strength" & thinks being strong is all there is. Ignoring that Toppo lost he complimented Vegeta for not putting strength above everything else as he clearly cares more about his family than strentgh. Jiren may not know this but that also means he has no reason to compliment a guy he has no idea is about.
Either Jiren's backstory did not exist at the time the episode was made or that was a very, very blatant case of Vegeta shilling.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I could see them eventually revealing that Jiren has a massive case of self-loathing.
I don't expect it. But I could see it.
This song needs more love. One of the pictures I found during the one minute where I tried to research this, like a scholar, was Gohan posing in front of random charts and graphs
So I guess random charts and graphs can also be used to fake being a scholar
Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
It most definitely can.
So… I caught up with the manga (chapter 32) cause I don't really feel like watching 120+ episodes. If we except the first arc that's basically a summary and the Golden Freeza arc that… was skipped entirely, the rest is surprisingly decent. The U6 vs U7 tournament looks like something out of early Dragon Ball, which is quite refreshing, and I absolutely love Beerus as a character.
The Zamasu arc was… good until the literal Deus ex Machina at the end, where they prevent Zamasu from destroying the universe… by destroying the universe…? What. The positive: the clever use of background details and expansion of the universe in a way that stays in the spirit of the series. Also the really good action, like holy crap. Some parts really looked like Toriyama's art in his prime.
The negative: …It kinda feels like a rehash of the Cell and Buu sagas, except the villain has slightly more complex motivations − his hatred for mortals feels a bit forced though, considering we've never seen humanity at war in the Dragon Ball universe. Like, I can get getting rid of super violent and dangerous peoples, but the most evil humans we had seen on DB Earth were bankrobbers… not much of a case for extermination.
Also, Goku's carefreeness is really taken to disturbing extremes there. He likes fighting, okay, but in DBZ he didn't seem like the kind of guy whose reaction to the possible destruction of the universe would be "Oh man, that's a bummer." Him getting all chummy with the Supreme God of All Creation is pretty funny though. Speaking of which, I had seen Evil Gods and Jerk Gods before, but childish gods blowing stuff up because they're bored is a first to me. But I strangely like the concept.
And now it's the prologue of the Big Tournament arc and it's pretty neat so far. Both Jiren's, Caulifla's and 17's introductions were nicely done, giving us just enough of a glimpse of their character to care about them. I dunno about bringing back Freeza though… seeing Yamcha in there might have been funny.

I'd like it if Bulma or Gohan (or Bulma and Gohan working together) came out with a paper explaining S-Cells to the characters in-universe, maybe with a little less Artistic License – Biology. Maybe explain that Gohan has been using himself as a Guinea Pig to experiment with how S-Cells react and propagate in response to outside stimuli.
