There is a difference: The Force is a mystical thing, so adding some scientific explanation is not needed. Super Saiyans, however, are a biological thing, so S-cells aren't terrible as a concept, but people will still be angry by something that stopped being special since the Cell saga.
INB 4 Better animated than Super. If anyone says that, bite me, I'm tired of reading that.
Btw, Jiren believes "Strenght is absolute". Only a Sith deals in those, I bet he hates sand too.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I was never bothered by S-cells considering its something that it explains how Goten and present Trunks managed to learn SS at such young age (And even then i remember people theorizing about this before).
The only thing that bothers me about this is that Pan and Bulla didn't show the ability to transform yet but maybe they retcon that.
¡PONLE QUE DIGA!:"¡HUMONGOSAURIO HASTA LA MUERTE!"S-Cells were something the fanbase had long speculated to exist, you probably know it as the "Super Saiyan inheritance" theory. All Toriyama did was confirm an already popular fan theory. Actually, he did more than that, since he explained more stuff about it which is Fridge Brilliance, like that living in a gentle and non-stressful environment stimulates S-Cell growth. That explains why so many Saiyans living on Planet Vegeta never went Super Saiyan, as well as why Vegeta could after spending a few years on Earth, as well as why the U6 Saiyans seem to have an easier time accessing the forms.
Something occurred to me last night: the Pilaf Gang are a major part of every non-tournament arc of Dragon Ball, as well as every non-tournament arc of Super. What if they were also major parts of the Z arcs? What would be their roles in influencing the Saiyans, Namek, the Androids, Cell, and Buu? For added fun, let's assume that they still wish themselves to be babies in the three-year timeskip while everyone else is training for the Androids.
To be honest, the whole "gentle and non-stressful environment" stimulating S-Cell growth goes against virtually everything else we know about Saiyan biology. Their strength is because they're Heavy Worlders. Their Zenkai boosts are activated by severe injury. They are actively compelled to seek out fights.

Well, yeah, that's why it's brilliant. That's why Saiyans couldn't tap into their full power: because their lives were unhealthy. Goku pretty much explained the same concept in the Cell Saga: "You can go back in there, but after a while, the returns you get are negligible and you're just torturing yourself" that's why he decided to rest and only do light training with Gohan for ten days outside the Chamber.

In fairness, if you were a personal trainer would you tell him what he should do?
Forever liveblogging the Avengers

Funny, I was just about to comment that s-cells are as if Toriyama saw A Phantom Menace and thought that the idea of midichlorians was something that wasn't completely terrible.
