I don't know why I was so apprehensive towards hearing that OP...I've heard it in multiple DB related videos and DVD extras (maybe).
It doesn't beat the rap, but okay.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. As you should, he was a villain.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Agreed, I guess.
Wish I could be more passionate about that...Veggie isn't keeping his losing racket.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Quick note: Episode 126, the recent one, was written by Hisao Ayumu
. He made his writer's debut on the series in Episode 119 (the quick succession elimination of Universe 4).
Not sure why the new guy is handed over the major turning points, since both episodes are polarizing to say the least, but I think I prefer 126 between the two.
Uh, Tao Pai Pai would absolutely destroy Roshi. Goku and Roshi WERE even - their Kamehameha were completely equal in power, they traded blows back and form without either seriously overpowering the other, and Goku had the advantage in speed as admitted by Roshi.
Roshi exhausted himself with the Kamehameha, but they didn't fight very long after that because Roshi won with his deeper kick. The longest fight they had was when both were at full stamina, and they were mostly even in physical ability so it's not Roshi's Kamehameha that accounted for Goku being able to keep up with him.
Compared to Goku's fight with Tao Pai Pai... he was absolutely manhandled, and his Kamehameha couldn't damage him at all.
Then there's Uranai Baba's fighters. Roshi says that the Goku they knew (at the tournament) didn't stand a chance against Mummy, some rando. And after that is Devilman, who is even stronger.
Oh yeah, Goku also says that he's never met anyone as stronger as Tao. Tao >> Chun.
So yeah... completely inconsistent.
x5
Roshi blew up the moon. That is a lot of wasted energy. Had he decided to go all out with his Max power Kamehameha he would have absolutely incinerated Goku, but he didn't, because he wasn't trying to kill him. There is a clear visual sign of this because Roshi didn't go into his buff form for their Kamehameha parry.
Yes, Goku had a speed advantage and an agility advantage, but in terms of sheer destructive force Roshi was way ahead of him. Roshi would also suffer in terms of speed and agility compared to Taopaipai, and would probably lose a pure-hand-to-hand duel, but I don't even see the Dodonpa countering the Max Kamehameha.
At the very least it's a 50/50 chance of who would win.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Serious question, what has Super done with Vegeta? At best he's stayed the same, and at worst he's regressed some. "Giving him more victories" is not inherently meaningful to me if that's what you mean, because if I like a character I don't want them to just do things, I want them to do things I can believe/that make sense.
I'm kind of confused about Freeza being emperor of space.
I mean, he's like vice emperor at best because his dad.
But also. His whole MO just doesn't make sense.
He's based on real estate sharks and what we see his army doing is genociding populations so the planets can be resold. That's what Goku was supposedly supposed to do, give or take some retcons. That was what Raditz showed up to make him do. That's what Vegeta and Nappa were doing before they heard about the dragon balls.
But if he's already the strongest mortal in the whole of space THE ENTIRE SPACE why does Freeza need to sell planets? What does money mean to him? His entire setup becomes unnecessary complexity.
Who is he selling to? And whyyyy?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThink of it in reverse. If the average fan weren't easy to please, then Dragon Ball wouldn't be as popular as it was. Critical fans are mostly watching for nostalgia.
Laziness. He can conquer the universe, but that would take work. Handing cash over is relatively simpler then using brute force.

Think it's because he's fighting for someone else rather than himself or his pride. For someone like Vegeta, that is a pretty huge improvement.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
