Maybe you are far too invested in a show about shouting, fights and lasers
But hey, I actually liked Fairy tail for what it was so fuck me, right?
And insulting Toppo doesn't even make sense. It's not like he was doing what he was doing just for himself, it was for everyone in Universe 11, there was no selfishness there. Vegeta only thought about his own family and the Universe 6 Saiyans.
Why should I think better about Vegeta for basically throwing a temper tantrum? Vegeta's motivations are fine on their own but when trying to make a direct contrast to make him seem better, it just falls flat.

Yeah it was asspully-y but it's far from the worst thing this show has done. It's mildly disappointing at worst.
This song needs more love. And I don't see any of that at all.
Btu whatever. I liked it for whats its worth aside from a poorer animation quality in its first half, and I'm sticking to that.
Watch SymphogearToppo tossing aside Justice is classic Moral Event Horizon and Templar Knight terrirtory. How can you call yourself a Pride Trooper if you literally toss your pride away.
Except he was doing it literally to save the entire Universe. What Moral Event Horizon did he cross?

True heroism is rooted in self-sacrifice.
Seriously who the fuck would care about pride in this situation.
Fuck pride, fuck it right in the ass. Any real hero would give up their pride to save the day.
Saving people is real justice after all.

Sounds like something Batman would do.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Eh, with Battle of Gods having Vegeta be stronger than SS3 Goku through emotions, and the Goku Black Arc having Goku turn the tides on Zamasu and Goku Black on his own through emotions (albeit briefly due to Goku Black having that constant power rise thing going for him), the Vegeta overpowering Toppo thing didn't bother too much since this has been a thing long before the Universe Survival arc. Plus it was established that Toppo was intentionally limiting his Hakai so that it wouldn't kill his opponent and get him disqualified. I don't think it's as much an asspull as people believe.

Toppos is also a fresh god of Destruction, who has to charge his Hakai blasts for them to be effective, unlike someone like Beerus, who has hundreds of thousands of years of experience.
Watch SymphogearNone of Go Ds even have to follow a strict code on what to destroy, so giving up Justice was never an issue.
yeah flucuating emotions=stronger saiyan has been a thing since forever. I don't really see a problem with it. the only problem I had with this ep was a weak beginning, and vegeta using his sacrifice move for no reason other than to be a reference.
also I don't really get people complaining that everyone in super uses the same attacks, when there hasn't really been a new attack from an old character since what vegeta's sacrifice thing in buu?
@Count Of Black, first, it's Knight Templar, and secondly, no, Toppo does not count as one. Nothing he's done here qualifies him for that or crossing the Moral Event Horizon. Being "pragmatic" is not somehow inherently evil. Needing power is not somehow inherently evil.

Well, with the God of Destructions pretty much having genocide as their job, it'll probably be pretty hard to not make actions that go against justice as a God of Destruction.
Ok, even as a guy who disagrees with most people's issues with the latest episode, people can still have issues with Vegeta for having good moments if it's poorly written you know.

You know, there's a lot of bitching about Gohan for always getting easy powerups, but it's Vegeta who says fuck you to logic as much as and more. He figures out ki sensing just by deciding he can, okay. He gets wildly inconsistent Zenkai boosts, okay. He's the first to go Super Saiyan without a massive trigger. He gets Super Saiyan Blue without having to go Super Saiyan God first.
If Vegeta wants something, he just gets it, for some reason. Unless it's to be stronger than Goku. It's like the universe is constantly dangling that distinction in front of him, just a step ahead of him.
Also, Toppo is not morally inferior to Vegeta just because he had to go Go D, no matter what Jiren says. They're all here fighting for their universe. Jiren's just a smug twat.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"

Then there is no hope.
If Super reaches FT levels of badness then the only option is to pull the trigger on the revolver your holding towards your head & pray you make it to Heaven.
