It's an adaptation of Toriyama's notes, which makes it pretty much identical to traditional filler. They're filling time between the adaptations of what is in the notes, just like any anime that uses filler to bridge adaptations of manga, light novels, etc
edit: Who even said that most people consider the manga the true adaptation? I can't find the original quote anywhere

List of ways to defeat the Omni kings:
- Monster Carrot's Magic Touch
- Buu's Chocolate Beam
- The Commeson
- Evil Containment Wav
- Dabura's Stone Spit
- Frost's poison (the stunning type had the exact same effect on both Goku and the referee, proving that it works regardless of the target's power, as if power mattered, it would have either killed the referee or not had any effect on Goku)
- Ginyu's Body Change
- The Super Dragon Balls.
Why do they need to defeat GOD...?
Also, you're kind of assuming ANY of those things would actually work.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. That's why they'll make some grand game-changing revelation to take the franchise into a new direction.
Maybe Yamoshi's alive, maybe not, chances are we'll get something so big that it will affect the present.
I mean there's really no other reason for Super to be ending than to focus on the movie.
Wait what was Beerus' original concept?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I mean its just speculation on my part. I really can't think of many reasons for them to end Super especially since they once said they wanted this show to go on for years.
The only other reasons I can think of & again this is all speculation on my part is recasting/re-purposing Bulma maybe & this is something someone mentioned a while ago but possibly Hiromi Tsuru's sudden death caused a bit of a worry for if something sudden might happen to Nozawa as well.
If anyone else has thought of other theories for its sudden ending there welcome to share.
Also a virus would make for an interesting antagonist.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Super has gone on for years. Almost 3 years. The initial estimation was for it to last 100 episodes and it's going to last until 131. After the movie, they're probably going to make Dragon Ball Ultra or whatever that continues Super's story and ties up the loose ends.

You know, I was actually thinking about the Saiyans being evil blood knights while writing this fanfic of mine, but I can't find a reasonable excuse for it (Since I treat the U6 Saiyans as human aliens similar to the Star Wars prequels, not Space Spartans).
We only have a vague knowledge of the Saiyans, and that's coming from Yamoshi, Tarble and Minus, where Saiyans weren't all that evil (Which is reasonable for me), but most of them were ruthless bastards. I imagine they lacked SOMETHING to civlized them (Like Real Life Christianity was to many pagans, although this is a controversial opinion).
I'm not fond of the virus idea, since is putting the blame of someone else to make the Saiyans look good by comparison. This is something Frieza was also somewhat responsible off, but this was downplayed due to Vegeta being an active villain at the time (My heart is pure... pure evil).

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. They just announced two new... albums? Soundtracks? Not sure what to call them. The first is Original Soundtrack Vol. 2, which has all the non-vocal background music from the Future Trunks arc and Universal Survival Saga, as well as instrumental versions of the openings. The second is the Super Theme Song Collection, which includes song with lyrics: the openings, all the endings, and Ultimate Battle.
I can get behind this.
Because there's no need to load them up on transformations right out the gate.
Besides, Kefla at least has niche being the only fused character to ever use Super Saiyan 2.

Yeah, I've spoken to more than a few folks here at my workplace (lots of 30-something Dragonball fans here), and whenever Dragonball Super comes up, the conversation normally centers on the anime. They don't even know that there's a manga.
