He's going to start a new era of cringy fan OC forms.

Speaking of which, that looks like an easy form/powerup to implement in Xenoverse 3.

It'd be interesting, that's for sure. Get extensive training under one of the Gods of Destruction and get a transformation. This Hakaishin form boosts your stats and changes your Evasive skill and one of your Ultimates. Your Evasive becomes Aura of Destruction, which instantly disintegrates all incoming ki attacks, and does damage to opponents if they hit you with physical attacks, but it constantly drains stamina to keep up. Your Ultimate becomes a Hakai ball.

I find myself wishing Jiren was the decoy antagonist of the arc. Like, Goku and Vegeta seemignly defeat Toppo and move onto Jiren, and when Jiren is finally pushed back by them Toppo unveils his GOD mode and he turns out to be the strongest person in the tournament.

That set-up at least sounds less... stale than what we've been getting with Jiren.

For the record, the manga didn't have Sidra sending assassins after Freeza, so Toei came up with it, and thus everything that transpired there ended up ammounting to nothing.

And I have my fears Super Vegeta Blue will turn out to be as effective as Blue Kaioken...

It set up Freeza getting stomped by Toppo, which was amazing.

Not sure what you mean by "fears", like, that the manga won't use Blue 2 Vegeta? It probably won't, since Goku and Vegeta both already have Complete Blue. Or are you fearing that it will be only just as strong as Blue Kaioken, which is already what they're heavily implying? I also don't see how that'd be a problem.

I mean, you don't really need set up for Frieza vs. Toppo.

Yeah, but you'd need set up for Freeza thinking he can beat a Hakai, which is really what made that moment special.

LSBK Since: Sep, 2014
#76534: Jan 28th 2018 at 4:21:34 PM

No you don't. That moment didn't really make sense anyway, because even though he was able to stop a bit of Sidra's energy he still knew full well that he couldn't beat Beerus. Having him go "A God of Destruction is nothing to me!" doesn't really add anything.

You can still have Frieza being arrogant and getting his shit stomped and it works just the same, assassins or no assassins.

Edit: Damn pagetopper.

The assassins thing showed Freeza that not all Hakaishin are as tough as Beerus, and he naturally assumed Toppo would be among those weaksauce Hakaishin. He didn't know that was only a small portion of Cidre's power.

LSBK Since: Sep, 2014

It doesn't even do that though. Frieza being able to (with a lot of effort) hold of Sidra's attack doesn't make him stronger than Sidra. If anything it implies the opposite because that was only a small bit to Sidra, and yet Frieza still struggled to get it under control.

Frieza can be arrogant just because he refuses to believe that Toppo can be stronger than him, and it still works fine. Even calling the assassin thing "set up" for this is being generous in my opinion, and even if it is, it's set up that wasn't necessary.

I didn't say it made Freeza stronger than Cidre, I said that it made Freeza think he was stronger than Cidre, which justified his arrogance against God Toppo.

LSBK Since: Sep, 2014

His arrogance doesn't need to be justified, is the thing, and I don't believe that adequately does so anyway.

Frieza being a smug asshole in the face of Toppo's transformation doesn't need a justification because that's just the kind of character he is.

I don't think I'm making a big deal, but eh. My main point was that things are basically the same, assassins or no assassins. It says nothing about whether I found either episode enjoyable or not (which I did, on both counts actually).

Going by fandom logic. Freeza is a jobber too, right? smile

Now you are catching on! Frieza is just a jobber to establish how strong Toppo is!

In this case I don't think that's justfandom logic, that's the actual role he played.

Suffice to say, that has been true for some characters throughout the Dragon Ball series although it doesn't hinder their value as characters.

It does when that's all they do and they don't get any victories, because it makes them unfit for the role of jobbing in the first place.

At this point in Super, everyone is a jobber.

The only ones who haven't jobbed are Beerus and Whis.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.

Not true. Goku Black killed Future Shin which killed Future Beerus and deactivated Future Whis. Thus, Beerus and Whis jobbed to Goku Black.

We've seen Beerus' Humble Pie, it's called every time he meets Zeno and shits himself.
