Why?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Vegeta only used the final flash once. Now it's his thing. That's just what Super does.
Let's be perfectly honest, what else in 17 gonna do that's his thing?

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"But Android 17 shield became his thing. Is his gimmick, like how Goku's the kamehameha, Krillin the Kienzan, Piccolo the Masankonsanpo. Is also an unique thing, as everyone has offensive things, 17 has the defensive thing.
Besides, Super and videogames made it their things, is sort of pointless to discuss about how they did the thing once and now it became the things now.

True, but the shield is Boring, but Practical, and the show has been quite creative about it, while the Final Flash has only been creative once... in Fighter z.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Calling it unique to him doesn't actually make it unique to him, is what I'm getting at. It never has been.
I don't particularly care about the barrier specifically (I'd even say I like the creative uses), I hate Super's approach to these techniques in general. And going "well, it's not like your complaints matter" means nothing.

It's a thing in DB for the repeated use of moves to be seen as less cool...
They're aren't signature, that's why people seem to find them cool...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Hmm, now that you say it Cell did do it once didn't he.
I suppose the big problem is that 17 basically has no other moves. He sort of defaults to it.
But... what's the big deal with him actually doing it though?

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Broly and Sidra.
But 17 made it his thing, his gimmick, and made a cool use of it. Like how Burter made his deal being the fastest being in the universe... and Goku, Frieza, and Dyspo was faster than him.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I don't have a problem with old moves being used again, I just want them used well. Which Super often falls flat on, like with many things it does.
17 using the barrier has actually been one thing they've actually been fairly good about, but I still have certain complaints.

125: THIS EPISODE IS GNARLY AND AMAZING. YOU KNOW HOW THIS WAS THE EPISODE I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO BECAUSE OF GOD OF DESTRUCTION TOPPO?! IT DELIVERED. IT DELIVERED SO GOOOOOOOD. When Toppo was Hakaing Freeza, I was having flashbacks to Frost getting erased and I totally thought that this would be the end of Freeza, and Zeno would be fine with it because it looked REALLY DAMN COOL.
I really liked 17 and Freeza teaming up to beat base Toppo, and I'm fine with 17 being as strong as he is, since it was previously established that he's around as strong as Blue Goku. Y'all just didn't want to take the episode at face value, for some reason. No idea how manga 17's going to handle himself against Toppo unless he's holding back a ton of power, especially since manga base Toppo is even stronger than anime base Toppo.
HAKAISHIN TOPPO BROKE THE ARENA INTO PIECES AND CHANGED THE COLOR OF THE WORLD OF VOID ALL BY HIMSELF AND IT'S AMAZING. Toppo just jumped way up my "favorite new characters in the Universal Survival Saga" list, just with sheer Rule of Cool. 17 needs help, guys, he shouldn't have to be trying to fight a god all by himself.
NEP: 17 gets help, in the form of Vegeta. Not the Vegeta/Toppo battle we were expecting, and this is even better. This is gonna be GOOD.

Honestly, I don't complain about 17. Along Gohan, he is the one using brains, but unlike Gohan, he has the infinite energy and energy shield with him.
Damn, Toppo scared the crap out of me. I can imagine how the parodies are going to play Toppo as either a rapist (Because what he did should be censored) or a mexican luchador libre (Because moustache)
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
