Supposedly, they make a new series every decade, and the last one was a decade ago.
Looks like the Universal Survival Saga will be the last arc of Super before it enters a temporary hiatus, and it'll end around episode 130. This would be the best possible time to have a time-skip and set the next arc after the End of Z.
Sometimes I wonder that as well.
That things like that were necessary was one of the anime's failings.
I agree with this entirely, I know the characters aren't the Superfriends but you would think that destruction of their world would be the primary motivation.

"Mai waifu."Everyone else on the web is either thinks the show is ending or is baiting others into thinking it is. The article states it isn't ending, just halting. Plus people gotta look on the bright side:
- This gives Toei's animation staff more breathing room for production
- This also give them more time to find a new VA for Bulma
- This gives Toyo a chance at doing to manga without having to rush himself

What? Someone who isn't from the original series doing something of significance? Well...
I just want to know if Toei just went overboard with making him mysterious, or if Toriyama told them to hold back on his character?
Even if it is the latter, they probably overplayed it...so I guess it's still Toei's fault. They really botched things with Jiren.
At least it's kinda fun to watch him fight. Guy's an absolute beast, and his fights with Goku have been a treat to watch.
One Strip! One Strip!I'd agree with that. The best part of the manga imo was the Fused Zamasu fight, which had a bunch of time dedicated to it, more time than the anime gave it actually.
My guess is they were trying to make Jiren "cool". Stoic, quiet, rarely showing any expression, only showing their power when provoked... these are some stereotypical "cool badass" traits in Japanese media.
Granted, Jiren's a bit more extreme than most examples I've seen of that archetype, but that would be my guess.

Pui Pui.
