That is a huge difference. The CAC voices were fairly generic and it was mostly Takahata ad libbing his lines. You're talking about consciously changing a line of dialogue for a main character for a completely different line to specifically reference one scene based on the western reaction to it.

Honestly they're both really really bad to me. But at least the movie is short.

I'm also pretty sure most of the reason Cell is fantastic in Xenoverse is because of Dameon Clarke being told to go nuts.
Even if it's not Funimation's doing, Xenoverse had Cell and Broly act like a tsundere and a yandere, respectively, when mentoring you, I could see the Japanese developers adding memes of their own in. Again, I can't think of any reason to include this line in particular as a win quote against 18 if it's not specifically a shout-out to how the original line sounded to many like a shot against 18.
Another headcanon I had was that Dr. Rota broke Champa's leg one day and that's why Champa decided to put him in the Tournament of Power :/
Btw, I don't think is that big of a deal. Is douchy, yeah, but as long as you know is just a localization thing, is nothing to worry about.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
That's the best explanation for his boasting I've seen thus far. I could see Champa as the type to let his guard down to the level of Goku and Krillin in those infamous bullet scenes.
I know the Create your own ki attack conversation was a while ago but I'd like to add in my ideas:
One would be a ki attack that looks like the standard beam or giant orb but leaves behind "ki flames" when it hits someone, the fire could either drain the person's ki or just damage their body while being difficult to put out. I just like the image of ki attacks that leave behind flames.
The other idea is sort of like the move Vegeta used to defeat Zarbon mixed with the dragon fist. Where you'd form a ki blast inside the opponent and shot it out the other side of their body in the shape of an animal head. Again, mostly just like this one for the visual image.
As for TOP head cannons, I had one involving Belmod being the main enemy of the pride troopers until Jiren showed up to interfere, and the aftermath resulting in Belmod becoming an ally and Jiren becoming a Pride Trooper.
There was also my headcanon of universe 3 being the same universe Chrono Trigger takes place in, but that wasn't as serious.

Just as an aside, it's actually Christopher Sabat's ADR Studio, Okatron 5000, that handles the dubbing for Kai, Super, and all of the Video Games. So this is why we've seen some adlibbed lines in Super's dub and now some of these fandom shoutouts in the games.

My friend likes to believe Chrono Trigger takes place in Universe 12 due to the invention of Time Travel there.
I could see it happening, but Lavos would have to be a really treaky fellow in order to bend tme like that and Geene and the Supreme Kai of Time of that universe not being able to stop him. Anyway, a cool theory.
I personally believe Jiren home planet was destroyed by Belmod, and he wanted revenge. But, since Belmod was just doing his job, Jiren couldn't complete his vengeance, and decided to spread justice across the universe to cease the destruction of planets. That's why the universe mortal level is so high: not because of Belmod, but because of Jiren.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.
well considering Geene's refusal to fight with the other Go D's was because "the result is obvious" I imagine he'd adopt a similar stance with Lavos.
I would seriously love if at least one universe was home to one of Toriyama's other works, you know, besides universe 7 being home to Dr. Slump and possibly a few others.
That being said, I wonder how the four, non-participating universes will factor into later arcs. I can't imagine leaving them out was just for the sake of not having to design 40 more characters.
Dr. Slump is already apart of the DB Universe...
There's been like...2 cross overs already and an animated OVA retelling of one.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

I would be shocked if Funimation didn't know about the response to that line and included it specifically to reference the response rather than the line itself. There's no real reason to include that particular line in the game and especially not using it as a win quote against 18 if it's not a reference to the controversy. Funimation is also pretty in-touch with the fanbase.
