Just a reminder that, at least in the movie, Beerus was gladly partying with everyone until the whole pudding thing.

Seriously, Beerus is just a cat. Don't piss him off and you have no problems. Even if he does get mad, just give him a few good scritches and he'll probably calm down.

By the by, probably the best thing to come out of the first Xenoverse is Beeru's idle animation where he rubs at his face with the side of his hand.

Does anyone know why Super added the post-production filter recently?

Actually, I bet Thor could befriend Beerus just as easily, considering the hero's viking warrior nature would get the old cat into partying hard. Squirrel Girl is also a good choice, as she's (somehow) one of the most powerful super heroes in the Marvel franchise while being one of the genuinely kindest.

Frank Castle should be considered for the short list people Beerus should be as far away from as possible, along with Deadpool.

I can just imagine Thor enjoying a jolly fight with Beerus and then offering him to enjoy a grand warrior's feast...

Then Beerus ends up pissing off Odin somehow while drunk and well, whooooops, goodbye Beerus.

Why would any of them be worthy? That seems to imply more than just being a good guy or even saving the world.

Well you have to be noble of heart & a true hero.

I think original dub Goku might have a chance.

Who is the most noble character in DB?

Noble isn't a characteristic I'd ascribe to any of them.

I'm not entirely sure if what it means to be worthy to hold Thor's hammer has ever been explained. If it has, I'm not aware of it.

This was last page, but if fit into a Western comics universe I figure Beerus would be treated as something of a mix between Galactus and Mxyzptlk.

Well, if it's the Ultimate universe's Mjolnirr, no worries, anyone can lift it... well, kind of and kind of not, since it's superheavy and shit.

Also, speaking about comic powerlevels is funny, because Marvel and DC comics powerlevels are way, way more plot dependant than those in Dragon Ball - characters are frequently way weaker or way stronger depending on what the plot needs them to be in both, but in Dragon Ball, changes in powerlevel are dependant on training or getting an explicit powerup, while in most Marvel and DC properties, changes in powerlevel are entirely dependant on what the writer needs.

In other words, Marvel and DC suffer from having powerlevels that are inconsistent as shit, and they have a ton of beings with, how do I put it, ah, yes, pheeenomenal cosmic POWAHS that create a lot of problems which means things escalate at a very quick rate but since they need to keep the 'weaker' heroes relevant at least in their own stories, powerlevels fluctuate constantly and it's a whole damn mess.

One of the more commonly seen downsides of having a shared universe and a bunch of different writers.

You can actually see that very same inconsistency in play in Dragon Ball.

Just compare the manga, which only had one writer, to the anime, which had a bunch. While the anime stuff taken directly from the manga is naturally consistent, once you step into filler and padding territory, consistency is the first thing to go.

Just look no further than Goku and Krillin getting harmed by bullets.

There was this insane moment in a recent Thor comic. Heimdall was guarding the gate & his gaze literally extends beyond galaxies. Except he has to blink every once & a while. So the moment he blinked the space warrior Gladiator fucking hurried his shit & crashed into the gate.

That means the guy literally traveled star systems in the exact moment it took someone to blink. Thats like fucking insane-ass speed.

I mean, that only happened because he a) drew on more of the Speed Force than he ever had in his life prior, and b) had the entirety of Earth transfer their kinetic energy to him in order to do so. He's never doing that again unless that last thing is done again.
