Even Turtle?! Oh, man! I can't believe how powerful Beerus is!
Yeah there are villains who you like that can't be redeemed and villains you like that can be. Sometimes the latter are and sometimes they're not and if they aren't then it tends to tick some people off and lead to an influx of fan fiction.
Then again, I would have classified Vegeta as the former so what do I know.
This song needs more love.Vegeta getting redeemed for realsies took a ridiculously long time both in and out of story. Hell, he wasn't considered a good person until, what, thirteen years after he was introduced, in-story?
Not to mention all the stuff that went into humanizing him and giving him a reason to be a good person instead of just doing it to avoid going to hell again.
Anyway, Dragon Ball has a better way to Heel–Face Turn in that the characters switch sides... but they're still pretty damn evil when they do. It's very common seeing villains who are treated as insta-redeemed the moment they switch sides. Hell, Darth Vader was basically insta-redeemed even though he started out his evil ways by murdering someone who was trying to help him and massacring children that looked up to him.
And let's not even mention The Coolest Guy Ever...
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariFat Buu is probably the only DBZ villain that was insta-redeemed after doing large scale murder, but in his case he was literally too stupid to know better as well hanging out with a cowardly sociopathic bastard. Kid Buu, on the other hand, had to be wished to be reincarnated as a good human in order to redeem him.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!It could be due to his sheer charisma but Cell has always struck me as the nicest of Z's main villains.
Also here's something I just thought of: If the Legendary Super Saiyan transformation is apparently going to be canon then would it be possible that another competitor possesses the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan 4?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

Sounds about right.
