Well at least in Vegeta's case it was someone he has a very personal relationship with so that clouded his judgement. He wanted to settle things with Vegeta once & for all.
I do hope that when Goku faces off against the Red and Black guy in their inevitable battle, the latter is the victor.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."![]()
First when he was too weak, then when he had cut himself into pieces, and then again during the Resurrection F arc (though it's slightly different depending on whether it's Super or the movie).

One Strip! One Strip! The first one happened after that; Goku was planning on just ending the fight right then and there and leave the planet, since he no longer saw Frieza as worth it since he was losing too much power after he went all out against Goku. Frieza couldn't give him a good fight anymore, so he was going to just leave.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Huh Goku & Gohan did some pretty similar things in their epic final battles with their nemesis' due rage clouding their judgment.
Goku let Frieza reach his full power in a desire to utterly humiliate & Gohan took his time with Cell because instead of just killing him off quickly he wanted him to suffer. Ha like father, like son.
Though Gohan's mistake kinda screwed him over more compared to Goku.
Wasn't it also out of mercy cause he decided vengeance against Frieza wasn't worth it?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Karrot letting Freeze go would've still allowed him to rule over the Universe, it wasn't done out of a selfish desire to fight him again...but was still pretty dumb.
Regardless of the mental impact it had...or "should've" had.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. This is true. It's funny how the plot didn't punish Goku for it anywhere near as bad as it did Gohan (though it's important to note that Goku himself yelled for Gohan to just get the job done, probably because he did remember how things went down).
One Strip! One Strip!Heh well Goku didn't really endanger anyone & Namek as a world is kinda fucked already. Funny thing as nice as they try to act when pushed to the brink Goku & Gohan are true Saiyans all the way. They are definitely apart of the lineage of Bardock.
Also Frieza was kinda heavily crippled when Goku let him go. I don't think he knew Frieza had the tech to heal such grievous injuries.
Ouch, poor Vegeta.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I like to think that the personalities of every angel is tailor-made to be both the complete sync and the complete counter to whatever personalities their respective Gods of Destruction are.
........on that note, I really, really want Giin to be an Expy of Kenshiro while his angel is basically Tree Trunks in personality.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!![]()
Angels aren't therapist, they're demons.
Considering it's TFS, they might have him go batshit only for Beerus to lampshade how ridiculous the idea of Vegeta actually managing to do anything in that fight is by being completely unaffected and taking him out in one hit.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThe answer to that will probably be based on how they handle Vegeta's reaction to Trunks getting impaled.
This song needs more love.Yeah I wanna see if there gonna keep in Vegeta's reasons for getting mad which is seeing Bulma get hurt which means that he genuinely cares for her more or less. He prolly does in a twisted Saiyan way at the very least.
He's still a hardass to Future Trunks if his rant about the former dying his hair is any indication though.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Ya know, I crazy as Goku is acting, I'm pretty sure it isn't a case of Flanderization. I'm pretty sure that Toriyama is purposely writting Goku this way for a reason.
Usually Flanderized characters don't get called out by other characters and everyone thinks they've always acted like that. This time though, we see Beerus, Whis, Gohan, Satan and Grand Priest all get on Goku's case because of the way he's been acting towards Zeno and the other gods. I have a feeling Toriyama has an end game for Goku's shenanigans, and it may be something we could never expect...
I see Super Buu being depicted by TFS as a wannabe Joker Expy by constantly cracking jokes, but all of it goes in Dude, Not Funny! territory, while Kid Buu is basically an incoherent lunatic who screams out obscenities constantly.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Considering Dragonball ends with him flying off to train Uub, maybe this is part of why he does it.
At first it was about having a Worthy Opponent who wasn't an evil dick who'd destroy Earth, but after becoming aware of his own flaws, and that Gohan, despite his power, wants to be there for his family, he decided that it might be better to train up someone new to take the job. Someone who wasn't like him.
Just a guess though.
One Strip! One Strip!I dunno. I can kind of see Super Buu going into full on terrifying territory. I mean, they've been moving away from their beginnings of nonsensical topical jokes for a long time, and have been moving into humor that would not be out of place on a 'serious' dark comedy.
I think that this is a good change, by the way.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimari

I mean, he's also given Frieza like three second chances at this point.
