Trunks has had enough trauma.
He's gone from having his world destroyed by a Goku impersonator, who was inadvertently created by Goku's actions in the first place, to Goku outright putting all of existence in danger.
Reeeeally puts his original mission of saving Goku, a mission he technically failed, into question.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Huh there's some irony in that. By saving Goku he inadvertently got his entire universe obliterated.
Poor kid was fucked either way. In the end a literal God like being had to recreate a new universe close to his so he didn't come out the entire saga like a complete loser. A well as the fact that's its not his world, its a technically different one he has to share it with another Future Trunks. Its more of consolidation prize really.
Its like something out of Rick & Morty, except Rick found another universe where they were already dead so they can take the spot of there duplicates without worry.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You know, I'm wondering why they didn't get Frieza to join their team; he's one of the strongest mortals in the universe, and they could have used Beerus to force him to work with all of them. Hell, maybe get Cell as well; he'd probably be easier to work with than Frieza, and he has all of the potential of both the Saiyans and Frieza himself locked in his body.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!They don't feel like finding new Namek again...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Honestly, Freeza would probably fuck things up.
His already shown that he's willing to put his grudge against Goku ahead of everything.
I can picture him tanking the entire match just for another opportunity to kill Goku, because if he couldn't let it go before, there's no way he'd do it even for Beerus.

One Strip! One Strip!Well they could get King Yemma to make an exception for him. That said, Frieza is a total dick who has proven too dumb to live on multiple occasions, so they might not want to chance sabotage from him. Also Goku is gathering everyone and would go for his friends before his enemies. Also also Frost will already be there so Frieza is kind of redundant from a narrative perspective (though seeing them interact would be great).
For some reason I've been thinking of this scenario in my head where for some reason one of Universe 7 fighters is out of commission so everyone is scrambling to find a replacement & Beerus revealed he has already taken precautions & has already prepared a replacement in case something like this happens.
Then outs comes Cell, slowly walking like a swagerous badass into the spotlight to the complete shock & surprise of everyone (especially 18 & Gohan) while proudly boastfully announcing "I'm back bitches".
I know that's never gonna happen but hey Cell's awesome, sue me.
Though Cell can be pretty personable & affable on occasion so it wouldn't be that impossible. Just say that death humbled him unlike it did Frieza.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm honestly more interested in a possible Frost redemption. I mean, Frieza and Cell are beyond redemption at this point, at least let the counterpart to change his ways. Frieza and Cell already served their purpose in the narrative.
Also, i'm worried about Cabba. The dude is not that strong, and I seriously don't want his universe to be gone. I mean, I know Botamo will be their trump card in the no-rules tournament, but come.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Yamcha is, what I like to call, a "situational Butt-Monkey". If he starred in a more mundane series, he would be taken seriously and a main character, if not the main protagonist. Its his misfortune he's in a show where the Power Level bar is set really, REALLY high over the years.
Actually the Grand Priest said they'll hammer out the details of the rules for the tournament proper, this is just an exhibition match.

DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!Actually it is interesting how Universe 6 is gonna survive this. Cause at the moment there kinda screwed.
They only have one genuinely strong warrior, Hit who is more or less Goku's equal. The next strongest I think is Auto because well he fought Vegeta to a stand-still, has a power set that actually damaged him & tanked a fucking Final Flash, only losing cause of a ring out. So while he is strong if he cannot fly then he is under heavy disadvantage due to a possible ring-out like Botamo. Then that leaves Cabba & Frost, the former is a fragile speedster who couldn't actually give Vegeta trouble & Frost without his poison is also weak as he got knocked out flat by Vegeta. So that leaves one strong warrior, two disadvantaged ones & unless they get massive power boosts in time for the tournament then 2 sorta-weaklings.
That's why they brought in Fem-Broly, if she's anything as strong as the original & is appropriately power-scaled then Champa just got himself a fucking juggernaut to carry his team.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."@slimcoder
Nah, I'd prefer if Cell is brought in, is still evil, and becomes the team's Vegeta, who's only in it because he wants a rematch with Goku (and tries to pretend that Gohan doesn't exist).
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariEh sure why not, I could go with that. Appropriately different but also still similar.
As long as he gets a mask like Cooler did. That mask & fully red eyes help make that look awesome.
Huh I think he'd look like Metal Cooler if he turned silver.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."To be fair, he does relatively well against Mira, and we couldn't exactly refuse Beerus's test.
Otherwise, though... he should be glad Shenron fulfilled his wish for an ally so well.
Also, SKOT should consider herself lucky that Trunks didn't punch her in the face when she went with the "time travel is a sin" line.

I have a message from another time...That would be priceless. And it'd also mirror Frieza's experience in the Resurrection F arc, for what it's worth.
Though looking back, I was a bit disappointed when Frost turned out to be a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing. I was so intrigued by the idea of a benevolent Frieza, and I kind of wish they just stuck with that.
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans! And man Black is an asshole in the manga compared to the Anime.
Agreed. Chapter was one of the best yet.
- Goku being regretful of his actions, knowing he couldn't save Trunks, but being proactive about his next move.
- Explanation that Angels are barred from doing anything once their God of Destruction is dead.
- Shin knowing that Trunks wouldn't last a whole day unless him and Gowasu stepped in and bought them time.
- Clarification that Future Trunks' timeline is a set configuration on his time machine and that they can't screw with that or else it would create a different timeline.
- Black and Zamas casually wasting every mortal left on Earth (lol).
- Clarification that Black killed both Gowasu 1 and Gowasu 2.
I'm skimming through it before my next class but... whatever technique Black is using on Trunks, I'm digging it. Way more than the Energy Sword and Scythe. It's nice seeing new techniques that aren't called "Holy Judgement!"
It's also cool to see Zamasu's injury in detail, rather than just see him get run through with the blade like a careless moron.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!

He lives peaceful half-life now, no more fights for that guy.
