I will say that I'm looking forward to seeing how Super handles Yamcha getting left out of the tournament in favor of Roshi (if it handles it at all). There's some comedy potential there.

This song needs more love.Even in one episode long Throw the Dog a Bone moment, Yamcha still gets his ass whooped. XD

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I do recall that when I went to the theater to watch Resurrection F, when Tien showed up and mentioned he left behind both Chiatozu & YAMCHA for concern of their safety the entire theater erupted into uproarious laughter.
At the same time when Roshi showed up & immediately entered his super mode to join the battle everyone entered into uproarious cheering, clapping & whistling. It was really awesome.

Ok that's BS Tien & Yamcha are the same.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Maybe, no one actually wants to see Yamucha fight anymore...
Impact is everything when a character is drafted into action...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Probably they realize Toriyama would just have him be beaten first.
3 tournaments, one alien invasion, and one Cyborg attack, and it's pretty clear where he stands.
I mean, the more he's mocked, the more I actually like him, but at this point, even he accepts his not ever gonna be a relevant warrior.
One Strip! One Strip!Toriyama does, and he decides who's relevant.
Roshi is there because he wants him there, and he'll find a way to justify it.
Hell, I suppose if the old man churns out some good moves, I can deal with it. At least they're remembering he's more than a dirty pervert.
One Strip! One Strip! He can only fight mooks though...
Yamucha probably can too, but just doesn't care enough.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Neither can quite few characters in this series...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Hopefully Roshi does something cool. I mean the dude was/is a martial arts master after all. That scene in the OP where he takes off his glasses was hella cool.
I find myself appreciating Yamcha more as I got older and realized how sad the man is. Like which is worse, the constant physical humiliations or the fact his girlfriend ends up marrying the man indirectly responsible for his death in the first place?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Pretty much.
He'd end up fighting exactly the wrong opponent like he always does. Everything would work against him and he'd lose.
One Strip! One Strip!

Hey Yamacha can still pull of decently awesome stuff.
I mean he had a pretty good showing during the baseball episode despite the merciless beatdown he received from God-like figures.
