Even if all the destroyed universes and the untold quadrillions of innocents are restored to normal at the end of the tournament, Goku is still going to face consequences in the form of slander. There is no denying it, with the exception of Universe 7, most of the fighters are going to be talking about this to everyone they know, especially how, to them, some completely rando dumbass Saiyan instigated the whole thing in the first place and caused the destruction of their universe briefly. The story will spread through word of mouth or through interview, the people of the various universes will eventually demonize Goku, elevating him to an actual villain instead of naive, inconsiderate dumbass he actual is, and eventually somebody is going to build up an army for the sole purpose of invading Earth and killing Goku.
Worse yet, even the most benevolent and level-headed of Gods of Destruction will allow this happen and even give their blessing because they was still bitter over their universe being destroyed, and even Beerus will allow the invasion to happen because he warned Goku that Zeno's childlike innocence made the kid extremely dangerous and Beerus sees it as Goku's long overdue punishment for his stupidity. And of course Zeno won't lift a finger to stop it because 1) the kid feels really bad for making the stakes of the tournament so high in first place and promised the other Gods of Destruction not to interfere with any retribution the people of the universes wish to make upon Goku, and 2) Zeno really wants to see how Goku handles the situation for the sheer entertainment value.
Of course, before all this escalation occurs, all of Goku's friends will never, ever let Goku live it down, either at jokes at Goku's expense and/or to prevent Goku from doing anything else that is so monumentally stupid by reminding him the last time he did something monumentally stupid. Vegeta especially will be vocal about it.
DAMMIT MARK, STOP HITTING HELPY!!
I think you're giving Super too much credit. I doubt a multiuniversal war against Goku is in the cards. And considering how he works, he'll probably makes friends with half of them despite themselves, and a lot of them are probably going to like him anyway.
The gods and his friends and family are probably going to be the best sources of conflict.

I doubt it will go that far.

One Strip! One Strip! That be a good idea for an arc though. An interdimensional being invades Earth to hunt down Goku cause of misunderstandings.
Ya know I do like the Superman characterization the dub gave him. If only cause I grew up thinking Goku was a very naturally noble & morally righteous character while also being a battle monger.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I mean, I image he is going to be given a hard time for this and he might even learn a lesson, but when all is said and done, he's going to walk away from this pretty happy and with more friends than he came into with.
Edit: Something else I thought about, people are making note of Vegeta not wanting to leave Bulma, but I found it surprising that she seemed to have been okay with him leaving. Not in the "she doesn't want him around" way, but just in the "I want him to be happy" way. I mean, she's the one who reminded Goku why he even came there. They're both nice moments, really.

I don't know, I think we should stay optimistic at the everyone else thinks Gokus evil ending.
I mean the Future Trunks arc ended with Trunks' entire way of life & universe horrifically obliterated in a just all around sad ending.
We might get to see some unorthadox shit this time around.

I think at this point Bulma has realized that Vegeta loves training way more than he loves her and the family and just kind begrudgingly accepts it. Chi-chi is sort of the same way, but she also wants Goku to be a productive member of society as well but he doesn't really care about that.
Not that she doesn't nag a lot him mind you.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Masako is quickly becoming my favorite Team Four Star member.
I think I might be in love with this man...'s voice. His voice. He's so manic it makes his inflections are hysterical. Yeah that's it. His eyes kind of creep me out though.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Dude went berserk & literally punched out God while at the same time surpassing his superior rival through nothing more than sheer force of rage after seeing his wife get slapped.
Vegeta obviously cares a lot for Bulma, no doubt about that.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Chi-Chi, to be honest, never seemed to love Goku for what he was, but for what she wanted him to be. And her tendencies with Gohan, well, are quite insolationist (then again, she was raised that way as well).
She is an awfully self-centered person, even if well meaning, and even if she is pure enough to ride on the Flying Nimbus. And rather than focusing the writting on the better parts of their character, Toriyama is as of late focusing on the worse aspects of their selves, and that, well, may not be very enjoyable.
It is a wonder how well-adjusted an individual Gohan ended up becoming.

I really don't think this tournament will finish, it will get interrupted by something and thus no winner or losers so no destruction.
