This recent action is less begrudging and more genuine...than earlier scenes.
Well, I had a thought about it (something that gets mentioned in the Heartwarming page for Super), and it hits me that Vegeta was probably not even there for Trunks' initial birth.
This newfound interest in Bulma's second pregnancy might be him not wanting to repeat past mistakes.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't see why he would care actually...birth giving be different and all that.
To Whis' kind.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Now that I think about it wasn't Goku there for Gohan's birth? I mean he would have no reason not to right?
When a man has a child it changes them, they feel something new, wonderful & absolutely beautiful. Well usually at least.
Did Goku not feel that when Gohan was born?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Masako X, who voices Goku in the Abridged Series, does a lot of Dragonball analysis too on his channel. It'll be interesting to see his thoughts on this. But oddly he touched upon this in a recent video:
Long story short, I think that this recent incident highlights the childish naivety of both Goku and Zen'o. The former is told point blank not to Poke The Dragon but does so anyways because, as far as he's concerned Zen'o just another person out looking for a good time, and why shouldn't they both have a good time. Zen'o(s) on the other hand, probably take to destroying a universe as trivial nonsense, as Beerus warned he's childlike in his innocence and due to that nearly immeasurably dangerous.
Goku doesn't believe that Zen'o would do such a thing unprovoked, because Zen'o is, to him, a 'good guy'. Zen'o does do the thing because why the hell not? Tournament's gotta have stakes right?
That being said I think the only reason that Beerus' didn't god delete Goku upon his return is because Zen'o would be pissed at the lack of Goku in the tournament.
Thing is, I can't imagine that all of the Top 10 mortal fighters in all 12 Universes enjoy fighting as a hobby like Goku does, and with the stakes involved, they basically have no choice but to enter to save their universe. Goku just strong-armed 119 other people into entering a tournament they might not want to enter in, and some certainly won't be having fun like Goku, with no regard for their feelings on the matter.
The tournament is purely for Karrot's own amusement...then it'll seem like Kakarrot is the bad guy, as previously mentioned...
The two Zen-Oh also getting some entertainment out of it is a bonus...

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Well there's like what 12 Gods of Destruction right? Multiple that by 7 & you get over 50 contestants.
Chances are not all of them are battle mongers & some are in it for other reasons such as altruism or even money. Also the fact no one likes to be forced to do anything cause the tourney is obviously not voluntary.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Come to think of it, Goku seems to be a really, REALLY terrible judge of character; he thought Zamasu was a decent guy before all of that shit happened when it was plain as day that he wasn't right in the head.
Super notwithstanding, he pretty much treated Freeza as an old rival and their fight like a sparring match rather than anything serious.
And now, he's thoroughly convinced that Zen-oh's a "good guy" based soley on the fact that he was nice to him...
God, he really IS that naive. It's even more jarring cuz he's a grown man, a fucking grandfather.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Goku thinking "they're strong guys, right? Of course they like to fight!" wouldn't be entirely out of character. He's spent a lot of Super annoying people on those grounds.
The big thing I'm waiting to see handled is how our heroes react to being forced to fight in a situation where their success means the deaths of loads of innocent people - especially since I doubt we're going have Opposing Sports Team pulled on a lot of our opposing combatants. Gohan especially.
I don't think Goku is actually capable of detaching "fun" from fighting, whatever the circumstances. The closet he came to doing that was with Frieza, and even with that he tried to leave the fight after it became clear fighting Frieza wouldn't be entertaining anymore. I mean, there was more to it than that, but him getting bored was a part of it.

I mean, Vegeta is trying, and he gets points for that. But "trying" for Vegeta mostly seems to amount to just begrudgingly going places with his family without participating any more than that. Maybe he's gotten better about that since Super has progressed, but a good husband and father, that does not actually make.
