I want Goku to be viewed by all the other Universe's participants at the Big Bad. Like, at some point it's let slip that the tournament was Goku's idea, and suddenly everyone in all the other Universes HATES Goku and Universe 7, by extension, and all the other Universe's contestents think that Goku is the big ultimate evil that must be eradicated to save the Multiverse.

But they can't kill him...
Or does Zeno now having a twin brother means he doesn't care about Karrot anymore?
That'd be a thing, that determines if they all die from that.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.No, better, they view Goku as this evil bloodthirsty warrior who manipulated Zen-Oh for his own personal goals of glorious combat with the biggest stakes possible on the line. Like he's some sort of evil genius for befriending the highest figure in creation, then manipulating them into setting up a death tournament. So everyone wants to kill Goku, but they're so scared of Zen-Oh that they acknowledge that they need a plan to show Zen-Oh that Goku's pure evil and change their minds about him.
The scene of Beerus holding his hand at Goku was oddly intense.
Also, some nicknames for Black/Red alien guy: Sheev; AyyyyImao.
And the pink girl is a teletubby, and wolf guy is Furry Yamcha
4chan, people. Goku is oficially the Ron the Death Eater of the series, with the whole "Universe survival" thing.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back."Zeno-sama, your Karrot friend is pure evil!"
That's the best they can do.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Truthfully, I'm not shocked at this.
Goku never really listens to anyone else. When he wants to do something, he just does it.
Now, this has lead to some crazy shit:
- Him refusing to give up when Jackie Chun / Master Roshi was shocking up to death (he literally didn't do it until he'd been in the move for a few minutes);
- Him deciding to just go and fuck up the Red Ribbon Army single handedly;
- Fighting Frieza;
- Giving Cell a Senzu;
The list of times Goku did something he wanted to do without considering (or in the case of the Red Ribbon Army, even being aware) of the consequences are numerous, and I've likely missed a few examples.
Now in quite a few of those cases, things have worked out because the plot said so, mostly in the form of something happening to bless his ignorance, or pure dumb luck.
In the case of the RRA, he was strong enough that an action that should have been suicide for him ended up being genocide for the army. Most people would never even consider trying to fight an entire army single handedly, nor was there anyone in the series buy possible Tien who was strong enough at that time to pull off (and I'm likely giving Tien too much credit, but considering how close his first fight with Goku was even if Goku was the stronger of the two, it might have been possible for him).
That's just how Goku is; he charges forward. Only Frieza and Cell have forced him to at least consider how bad a mistake he made, and in both those cases, things still worked out (he achieved Super Saiyan, and Gohan achieved Super Saiyan 2 respectively) but consider that people also died as a result of what he did.
Then again, Dragonballs. That's kinda a big part of it: in a world where you can wish away any negative consequences, it makes you wonder if the reason Goku is so unconcerned about warnings not to do stupid shit is because as far back as he could remember, he's been able to wish away the consequences (not every case, but still).
Well, long story short, Goku done fucked up, and I agree that I want to see some consequences for it.
One Strip! One Strip!I heard it here first, but after seeing the episode I'm rather surprised just how responsible Goku is in what's about to happen, and how thick they lay on the fact that his selfishness and naivete are leading everyone into trouble when they were enjoying a relative peace - Beerus outright calls him dangerous when about to Destroy him.
I mean, to heck with how the other universes are going to hate him, this is a titanic threat to his own friends as well - one the narration makes clear they never asked for. For all we know, we could get some kind of Broken Pedestal among the warriors of Universe 7 as well. It's at least in his favor that he doesn't know Zeno is going to merc losing universes, but he was warned repeatedly not to play with fire by people he should really be listening to.
Actually, I really like how this episode sets up Goku ignoring Beerus in with terrible ramifications with him ignoring Chi-Chi in a safe environment the opening. And the game the Zenos are playing throughout the episode. And the nature of Beerus' warning here, even before he gets serious - you can tell that while Goku's being a dick, but it's being set up very well that we're supposed to see him as in the wrong here.
I get the feeling that his flippancy toward divine matters is going to be played for laughs less and less as the arc goes on. Like with Cell, this might be a story where he gets a serious wake-up call before the end.

Hell, compare him with everyone else: They are all responsible thinking about their life, heck, Vegeta is now being a good husband for crying out loud. Goku became more flawed by comparison.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.The implications this episode brings up are very interesting, and, if future episodes of this arc follow through on the hints set up here, this might end up as one of the best episodes in all of Dragon Ball, just for how well it establishes the lesson Goku needs to learn, and how well it's written around that.
Well I'm probably gonna watch the new episode tomorrow. This arc has me hyped enough to actually sit down and watch it.
Also, I mentioned last week that it's gonna be really jarring for me to see 18 go through two different voice actors when watching Super and Kai, and I was right. Her voice actress in Kai does a good job, but she's lacking something that I can't quite put my finger on.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?He incites Zeno to trigger the multiverse tournament, despite being outright told that despite Zeno's outwardly kind demeanor he's a dangerously innocent being who doesn't understand the consequences of his titanic actions.
Beerus calls him out on messing around with Zeno and Goku's own inability to see the consequences of his own actions as well, to the point where he seriously considers Destroying him. He outright calls Goku a potential danger to the universe if he continues to exist and doesn't change, but Goku doesn't listen, gives him the slip and goads Zeno anyway. What sells it is how all the Gods respond completely seriously to what's going and keep trying to get Goku to do the same, while he's the only one who doesn't care.
While not the same conflict, there's also the scene with Goku and Vegeta, where Vegeta wants to stay on Earth with Bulma when she gives birth, and Goku's all "whatever, I was dead when Goten was born, come train with me" and Vegeta isn't having it. It ends with Goku taunting Vegeta about maybe getting far stronger than him, and Vegeta just shrugging and sticking by his decision. Even Goten, who goes along with him, has moments of being more thoughtful than him (speaking of which, I really like Goten's personality and wish he'd get more screentime - I wouldn't mind an actual arc rather than a bit-story that centers on him and Kid Trunks).
All in all, the theme of this episode shows a lot of Goku being immature and self-centered while everyone around him is trying to be mature and responsible - culminating in him doing something dangerously irresponsible despite the better judgement of the people trying to stop him.
I'd agree that from a characterization standpoint this is one of Super's best episodes. It sets up what it's trying to do with Goku's character and the upcoming threat really well.

I really hope that the fact the Goku' is completely responsible for the upcoming mayhem is something he gets called out on. I mean even freaking Beerus called him out on forcing this tournament.
