Instant noodles being the greatest food ever is a thing in Final Fantasy XV too. Sure that was because of the rampant product placement but still.
This song needs more love.I tried making them the "Naruto" way with an egg and that weird swirly onion thing, but it came out... less than desirable. I have absolutely no idea how to make "true" ramen or harness it's flavor, nor what "true ramen" even is - are we talking about making the noodles yourself, or buying store-brand and filling it with veggies and other additions suited to taste?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Looks like Masako Nozawa got a Guinness World Record!

Well, seeing how much focus food is given in Dragon Ball Super, it was bound to happen.
I'm actually fine with Beerus and Whis being lighthearted (as lighthearted as those two can be), as long as we get some gods that are actually serious. Or, at least more serious than those two.
Surely not all of the gods have an obsession for food.....
Is that so surprising? Fans pretty commonly use something similar to Parody Retcon to deflect criticism of something they enjoy, or enjoy laughing at. The Boo arc has been hit with it, Super Saiyan 3 and 4 and God were hit with it, etc
And all the people convinced that the Broly films were cancerous, and the Ginyu arc unnecessary!
And those people who insist that the series should have ended with the Cell Saga!
That... doesn't seem like an example of what hardcorefakes said and more like you randomly interjecting complaints about views you disagree with. Which is rather petty.

Wait, I thought Parody Retcon refers to when the writer does it?
When fans do it it's just denial.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariPeople can just like something because they inherently like it. Not every praise has to be seen as complicated mental gymnastics of people trying to deny the truth.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! That kind of ignores when that is the case as with the whole tangent about Zamasu a few pages ago. Someone said they hated him and then others jump in with what's basically "Well of course you're supposed to hate him silly" which kind of misses the point and deflects the criticism as it is.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.

Actual, well made ramen with non-concentrate stock is indeed far more delicious than instant ramen.
Instant ramen turning out to be the greatest food ever on top of all the Food Porn Bulma had given them is a gag. Here's a good Western (or at least American) equivalent.
