Hm. True. We've seen the act before, but this was still new footage they made for that episode of Super.
Wild guess about Roshi. Now that he's got another 1,000 years thanks to that herb, he'll be able to step it up in the tournament by using a bunch of forbidden techniques that are Cast from Lifespan, which he never used before because he didn't have a whole lot left to spare, being super old.

I have a message from another time...He's there because nobody wanted Yamcha on the team, as he'd just lose in the quarter finals as he always does, and they can't afford that.
One Strip! One Strip!I believe that is the case. He can die by any other method, but Old Age is one enemy that Roshi has beaten.
I'm kinda wondering where that water is anyway? Did Roshi just drink all of it back then?
One Strip! One Strip!if I remember correctly, that plot point came up in the Demon King Piccolo saga. Tien mentioned that Roshi had drunk the elixir of life (or whatever it was translated as that week) and therefore the two of them should be able to handle Piccolo, youth or no. Then Roshi knocked Tien out and prepared to face Piccolo solo with the Mafuba, and admitted that he lied about the elixir of life. Which meant that he was indeed about to die from using the Mafuba.
I have a message from another time...I dunno, in the latin spanish version, Roshi says that he can survive the Mafuba because of it, while latter admitting to himself that the Mafuba will probably still kill him. He doesn't say he lied about the elixir, that's the reason why he's over three hundred years old after all, he says that he lied about surviving the Mafuba.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariOozaru Zamasu
How fucked are the heroes with a Oozaru version of Zamasu?
Btw, was I the only one who thought that Susanoo attack of his looked like the Oozaru?
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. So, after just sort of losing interest in DBS, I decided to catch up and stuff after like three months. I'm not surprised I stopped watching during the Future Trunks arc, it was pretty bad. I liked a lot of the ideas and stuff, but the execution was kind of terrible. And honestly, I just couldn't stand Zamasu. And not in a love to hate sort of way just a WHY WON'T YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND DIE kind of way.
It felt like all his dialogue was put on repeat. "Mortals are terrible for being violent thugs, so I will wipe them all out by being the most violent thug of all. By first killing all the other gods and then killing all the mortals." The hypocrisy got somewhat unbearable after a while. Maybe it wouldn't have been too bad if he talked about something else more often but he doesn't. His going on and on about how killing all mortals is justice thing is probably like 80 percent of his dialogue. Or at least it felt that way to me.
Ignoring the wonky power level stuff because I've bitched about it before, the other big thing I didn't like was how pointless the Mafuuba was. I wasn't expecting it to win the day or anything, but jesus christ, it did absolutely nothing because Goku's an idiot and despite everyone knowing Goku's an idiot no one thought to double check to make sure he had everything needed.
Anyways, once I got past that, the stand alones and two parters have been much much more enjoyable. Excepting the Arale one. Which wasn't too bad, I just never read any Dr Slump so I just didn't care about the cameo stuff. And the humor they brought to the party wasn't entirely my cup of tea.
But the little two parter with Hit was great. I have no complaints about it. I just enjoyed it. Hit's easily my favorite Super character. Its just honestly fun to see a cold professional assassin just enjoy a big fancy fight. And Goku's taking a contract out on himself was just god damn amazing. I had thought it was Whis responsible but nope Goku.
Also, it baseball episode was amazing. It tickled my funny bone quite effectively and it let Yamcha actually do stuff even if it made him a butt monkey at the same time. I'm not exactly a Yamcha fan but that was seriously a fun episode.
Saiyaman and Krillian mini-arcs were good too. Even if I was a bit baffled why Krillin was all super scared, because I remember him being well somewhat scared in Resurrection F, but no where to that degree. Still I suppose having all the people who have killed or otherwise wrecked your shit suddenly popping up at the same time might be a fair bit more disconcerting, also magic fear forest. So I suppose not that unreasonable.
Little curious why Gohan went "Oh I don't fight anymore" at the start of the Krillan micro arc. Since back before the Universe 6 tournament it was confirmed he has been training with Piccollo. And there was no indication that that has ever stopped.
Click Click Boom BoomHe doesn't fight because The Great Saiyaman does the fighting!
Also Zamasu was what happens when you attempt to put a modern edgelord villain like Sepheroth into Dragonball. It was funny because it didn't fit, the straighter they played it the funnier it got.

He wasn't actively looking to fight someone. Goku asked Gohan to spar him. Sparring is training. Ergo claiming he doesn't fight anymore in that context implies he's no longer training with Piccolo. I mean obviously its not a huge deal because he then immediately puts on the Saiyaman outfit, but it just kind of bugged me anyways.
Well, humor is basically the most subjective form of entertainment out there, but it didn't really feel like Zamasu was supposed to be humorous. -shrug-
Ah maybe I didn't miss it just forgot it. That's I think that's the last episode I watched before taking a hiatus or somewhere around there.
Maybe if I had remembered that bit Zamasu would have been more bearable, because that is pretty funny.

This was a good mini-arc for Krillin, he got some nice character development. Right in time for the tournament too.
