Come to think of it, they didn't even need the vaccine for the virus. All they needed were to gather the dragon balls and wish away the virus. I'm surprised they didn't try that.
Then again, they refused to just wish that Dr. Gero would fail to create the androids in the first place, or use the balls to find out where he was, wreck all his shit (without killing him), so yeah. Dramatic Tension when it makes no sense is more important.
Also, let me just say that I like Super. Not everything, but still.
One Strip! One Strip!Found a random thing about Episode 77
. Sorta spoilers, so don't look if you care about those.
It's not dramatic tension so much as it is an Idiot Plot that is justified because the characters really are idiots.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariPretty much.
She should not have just sat around and waited. Though considering how dangerous the DBZ world is, I can picture her not wanting to try anything without one of those guys backing her.

That's why everyone ignores her when she has an actually decent suggestion.
You're talking about Bulma.
This woman went on a world tour, alone, when she was like 15. All she had for protection was a pistol.
Bulma is very smart, but she is also an idiot.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI was flipping through that section at the bookstore the other day, and when Bulma is getting annoyed at all those fight crazy idiots, Krillin takes her aside and points out that pretty much everyone there started out as an enemy of Goku, even himself. And that while Piccolo is cool now, without a common enemy to go against Vegeta might flip out and blow up the earth or something. Which, well, fair. Vegeta is still kind of an evil dick at that point.
...Oh right.
That's a good point. I often forget that Krillin did that.
It took ten years for it to take effect though.

One Strip! One Strip!Well, he did eventually become a danger. He became a Super Saiyan after all.
I think it was said he might have actually been stronger then Goku during that time, at least until they did the Hyper Tonic Lion Tamer Training.
I mean, if Goku were willing to just kill him, it wouldn't be an issue, but he still wouldn't even kill Frieza after everything he did (he explicitly spared Vegeta because he wanted to fight him again above all else, even though he tried to kill them all, and indirectly killed a lot of them as well) so finding a way to get Vegeta to Heel–Face Turn probably was a better option.
One Strip! One Strip! This is true.
Then again, when given the same source of training (the chamber, and a sparing partner) Goku still blew past Vegeta despite having to train Gohan as well. And this is considering Vegeta and Trunks stayed the full year while Goku and Gohan came out early.
In fact, I wonder what would have happened if Goku had used that remaining time to doing some more training on his own instead of deciding to let Gohan do it.
One Strip! One Strip!True.
Trunks was Incompletely Trained himself, and Vegeta only recently started to train. Add to the fact that they likely only trained on their own (at best, Vegeta likely used Trunks as a punching bag) compared to Goku properly sparring with Gohan (who received more training then his future self) and you can see the difference.

One Strip! One Strip!Well, he had a lot of good teachers.
Even to this day, he's still applying a lot of the stuff he learned even from Master Roshi I think.
One Strip! One Strip!I know it's a few pages late, but @ the dub of Super bringing Blood Knight Goku to an English-speaking audience... I wouldn't be too sure.
Granted, he doesn't do much of anything in the first episode, but I immediately noticed we were getting shades of the usual, more explicitly heroic dub Goku. For example, in the original his reason for wanting to train is more simply to be strong enough to fight strong opponents, while dub Goku's reason is wanting to be strong enough to protect the people he cares about from powerful threats.

I thought about the "disease" vs "virus" part too, but if you really look at it from a micro-level, the end result is still the same; viruses themselves don't kill you, the effect they have on your cells kill you. So it's all just damaged tissue anyway.
