Ok, some observations I have:
While its not canon, Towa has to be one of the worst villains in Dragon Ball history, by playing with the timelines and altering the villains. Remember, some of these villains are monsters that broke free of Babidi control. And Mira betrayed her because he wanted more power. Is a miracle her magic worked on Buu and Janemba! Of course, videogame villain, I don't have to think much about it outside of seeing the filler villains doing something again. At least she is easy on the eyes.
Also, man, today episode is weird. Is feels completely different from your typical Dragon Ball episode. We got Suspense, mystery, and a cyberpunk tone during Hit segments. Also, Frost is on the loose. Glad to see his empire fell. Of course, I know who Hit client is because I was spoiled, but credits to Toei. The animation is kinda wonky, but is fine by me, the blue ray will fix it.
And Super Saiyan Black is, well, not interesting. Toei skipping it was a good choise because we were surprised by the unique Rosé form. The normal SS is redundant storywise.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back. There are infinitely more questions surrounding the situation than that. How did Goku power up so much if he's not always using God ki? Where does his BOG arc self (pre and post God) compare to his Universe 6 or Black arc selves around base and Super Saiyan? Have they always retained the ability to turn Super Saiyan 1 - 3 during BOG, ROF and Universe 6 despite it appearing not to be the case? Etc etc
Each arc seems completely different in how they treat his transformations
So Hit's got a few extra tricks up his sleeve it seems.
We knew he wasn't using his full power at the tournament, but it looks like he had more then just Time-Skip in his arsenal. In fact, it looks like he might have even improved his time skip judging by how long he was talking to that dude before.
One Strip! One Strip!Of course Hit was holding back in the Tournament. He's an assassin, not a fighter. And the "no killing" rule meant he had to refrain from using his best techniques.
I'm not the least bit shocked by his performance in today's episode. Well except for that intangibility thing. No idea what's up with that.

Yeah, that's the thing that is bugging me. And it seems to become more of an issue as more elements are introduced by Super without a lot of elaboration.
The original series had this as well, but not usually for something so major.
Exactly. The fact that fans are all coming up with individual, completely different and contradictory explanations that could fit just shows how little we actually know.
There's no point trying to understand when there could be literally any reason. It just happens.

It could also be because he's a dick.
One Strip! One Strip!
