It's basically just a more controlled curve ball.
Hell, even ki attacks weren't treated as cheating since there's no actual rule against them.
One Strip! One Strip!Y Ea, the only rule was to not destroy everything. Anything else was fair game.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yamcha is the hero we deserve, the one we wanted!
Now, being serious: I heard the Hit assassination arc is going to be a filler arc, similar to Copy Vegeta. Some people are wondering if Gohan is going to have his chance... but at this point, that question can result in annoyance.
Compared with Copy Vegeta arc, an arc about Hit sounds cool to me.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Well, "filler" is typically applied to anime-only episodes, like Garlic Jr. Since Dragon Ball Super is Anime First, does the term really apply anymore?
De Romanīs, lingua Latina gloriosa non fuī.How is Yamcha using his abilities cheating at all? Like others have pointed out, literally everyone on earth can do it if they put their mind to it and, more importantly, it's his actual physical capabilities, it's not using performance enhancers of any sort, nor foreign objects - he's basically just in better shape than everybody else.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariFiller is used in many senses, not just the most literal description. It's not quite padding because it's not extending existing scenes or anything.
It's filler between arcs. And even if you were being literal, Super isn't QUITE Anime First, it's an adaptation of a script coming from someone outside of the production team (Toriyama, who is not on the anime staff). We get the anime first because we never get the original script.
So it could be argued that anything that is not on the script at all would be filler. I think it's fairly likely that Toriyama is only scripting the major arcs, and these episodes serve to give him more time to write.
Then again, Toyotaro did once say that Toriyama is very serious about his gags. I'm not sure that he's not at least consulted about the gag episodes, it's what he loves to do most, after all.
Like, they go "we need to do some filler!" at him and he answers "well I dunno make them play Baseball with the Universe 6 guys" and the rest is Toei's writers, with maybe some input from Toriyama at best.
But of course, that's just speculation - we know nothing about how the writing process for Super is. For all we know, Toriyama is only writing the gag filler episodes...

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariTechnically speaking, it's not like it's an adaptation of a completed series like most Anime; Super is mostly just going off of Toriyama's notes and they're basically doing whatever.
That said, I think I'm starting to enjoy these fillers more than the canon arcs.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.@Lionheart: Kaiou specifically refused to be revived because he wanted to muck about the Afterlife with Goku. Why he needed to be dead to do that when he was already in the Afterlife is anyone's guess.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! But of course, that's just speculation - we know nothing about how the writing process for Super is. For all we know, Toriyama is only writing the gag filler episodes...
We do know he's a borderline co-writer of the manga though.
"It is very easy to be kind; the difficulty lies in being just."Okay, did the baseball episode remind anyone of Hit the Diamond?

So Yamcha is so much of a failure that he has to cheat at baseball to be good at it?
This song needs more love.
