Ok, so that episode...
The fuck? Just... wow. I mean, that timeline was already fucked, anyway, but still, that's dark. Zamasu becomes a non-corporeal being and/or an Eldricht abomination that purges the Earth in a matter of seconds, so the universe becomes effectively unsalvageable. I assumed Zeno "only" destroyed Universe 7, but if Goku brought him along, then that multiverse is just gone.
Oh, and Whis reveals he had a Mafuba of sorts as well, which is how he's going to "fix" the new timeline. Goku really should've brought that seal
Man, this is a downer ending through and through. Poor Trunks and Mai
I've been seeing some of the episodes with fan subtitles on You Tube.
The sheer amount of Killed Off for Real after episode 66's hopeful ending is kinda messing me up.
lol you guys are breaking over this ending and Masako X is pretty happy with it
Contrast is nice since I'm listening to him and reading you guys at same time :D
Yeah I am not a fan of this episode as an ending, destroying Trunks' world like that not only gave Goku the win but it ruined everything that happened especially the Spirit Sword. It would have been fine if the dragonballs didn't exist in the present and they made the fact that the world was so ruined that it was unrecoverable from the start.
Also if there was always going to be 2 Trunks and Mais it would make more sense to have them stay in the present since the extreme difference in ages would have less of an impact on each other.
Yeah, count me in on the Trunks and Mai should have stayed in the alpha timeline camp. That would make things so much easier for the writers in the future.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's not like Kid Trunks is actually doing anything, he just hangs out with the Pilaf gang nowadays, although to be fair Goten is even more useless.
Actually having Future Trunks around it could be more than the Goku and Vegeta show it has been even though Goku and Vegeta are clearly stronger but not THAT much stronger. The gap itself between first string and second string is way too damn huge.

It's an Esoteric Happy Ending. Only by looking at the Fridge Horror does someone see any downsides to the episode.
Didn't Goku Black kill everyone in that timeline already anyway?

No, a lot of people survived. Hell the Spirit Sword wouldn't have actually existed if there wasn't people around to power it, not to mention the constant pan aways to the survivors.

There isn't any fridge about it, it was a bad ending that made this whole arc pointless. Can't even really claim it's a character development arc since the character that got it now is written out.

If Zamasu can spread to other timelines, it's not out of the question that he can manifest in the afterlife either.
This song needs more love.![]()
I didn't mean on the Earth, I meant in the universe.
It's called a Bittersweet Ending. Zamasu was stopped, and Trunks and Mai still alive to rebuild a new life.
Meh, these last two episodes left kinda a bitter taste in my mouth. I guess the good things is that it had some really great moments come out of it.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!![]()

Something tells me that Zamasu didn't really care who he killed at that point.

I just realized, the ending of the Future Trunks Saga is essentially the ending of Stone Ocean...
