There's a reason why I don't usually go out for sales on that day; that particular incident is rather notorious that South Park did a three-parter on it.

I watched this. I see his points.
Personally, while I could get putting some kind of limit on in order to give some dramatic tension, it feels like revealing that transforming too much eats up the time makes it no different from Fusion Dance fusion, and if that's the case, then what is the point?
I want to see how Toyatorou does it. That way, we can know if this is something Toei came up with or a new thing Toriyama added.

I'd say we get six not counting the two we already have: False SSJ Blue Trunks, Black (with SSJ Rose), Vegetto Blue, Zamasu, Fused Zamasu, unstable Fused Zamasu.

This song needs more love.It really would be painfully easy to solve most of my complaints with the episode.
Also it would avoid creating a rather big problem: Now that we know that Vegetto is temporary, there's literally zero reason why Goku and Vegeta shouldn't immediately fuse and attempt to destroy their enemy as quick as possible.

I don't know, by handwaving new rules in this episode they've kind of been proven to be just as limiting. SSBSS Vegitto wasn't able to maintain his form any longer than SS 3 Gotenks. Like, the only real benefit is not having to do the dance.

They don't like fusing. The Potara are more convenient, but they will do anything else before trying it.
The dance may fail if it is performed incorrectly. You need the ear rings of a deity to perform the more reliable and durable fusion method, but universe 7's Kaioshins are eager to give a hand with that if needed.
And, again, they will only do it if it is the only way and only if it can make a difference. It is in character for Goku and Vegeta, who would rather take turns than gang on somebody stronger.
Yea, the Potara fusion is still better despite the limitations presented.
You make one mistake in the dance and the whole thing is ruined, and you have to wait a whole hour before you can try again, and you only get 30 minutes even if you perfect it.
All you have to do with the Potara is just put on the earrings and done, simple and easy. The fusion result is stronger overall, and you get an extra 30 minutes if you're not a Kai. And even if you burn through the time limit, there's nothing saying you can just do it again as soon as you're recharged.
The Potara is STILL better.

They're ruthless jerks during that day...is very dangerous.
