The power of mortals had been shitting on all the gods except Beerus since the Buu saga. Zamasu was Late to the Party on that bit of news however.
With a Bulma created bullet it really should have done something, especially when Alternate Universe Reed Richards Is Awesome has been in effect with Future Bulma since Trunks showed up.

So what are the least one sided fights in dragon ball?
As in, no Curb-Stomp Battle, and there's at least the illusion that either fighter could win?
Because in hindsight, Toriyama doesn't really do equally matched (or at least near equally matched) battles. One person is near always legitimately stronger, and (barring the loser having some extra ability, or the would be winner making a mistake), it's not really a matter of if they will win, but when?
The best I can think of is Piccolo vs 17, but Piccolo was going to lose the war of attrition.
Next is Majin Vegeta vs Goku, but that was only a fight because Goku deliberately held back Super Saiyan 3.
So any ideas?
One Strip! One Strip!Goku vs Piccolo jr, after Kami was released the two of them were basically tied and it was just an even beat down that Goku only barely won.
Goku vs Tien was kinda close but Goku had the edge most of the time.
Chun vs Goku wasn't really 'even power level fight' so much as a series of gags framed as a fight..

Masako X explains the backlash this episode got. If you don't feel like watching the video, I'll sum it up.
> Last week's preview made Vegetto the focal point, baiting the audience into thinking he was going to be the star. People feel cheated because that ended up not being the case.
> People feel like Vegetto was nerfed and nobody on the internet likes seeing things they love being reduced in quality.
> Nostalgia Filter. People were banking on feeling the same way they did about Vegetto when they were children, but anyone can tell you that's almost never the case.

People get trampled and killed for one. Seriously, this is not a joke.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.

You know, Trunks slaying a God with the power of mortals was finally showing Zamasu the error of his ways. The power of mortals can beat the power of Gods.
