You can only serve your immortal mentor his tea for so many years before you start to get a little unhinged.
Seriously the only other thing we saw them doing was visiting the past (which was the first time they'd ever done it) and meeting with Beerus, Whis, and Goku. I didn't even see a lake or a TV. At least King Kai has a car.
If that's what we want to call it. I just liked him better when he was a little self-deprecating.
I'm biased against Black because the concept of an Evil Goku has been mocked forever and now it's suddenly a respectable idea not like I drew an evil Goku and got mocked by my peers in the 5th grade or anything.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Well, the Evil Goku idea was already done with Turles. And fair enough, in Xenoverse 2 at least, I found Turles to be greatly annoying with his smug attitude.
Black was a genodical psychopath compared with Turles, who was a Faux Affable pirate, but his quiet and mysterious origins make him interesting. Zamasu however is worse than Turles in smugness.
At least Zamasu gave us delicious memes.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back....besides calling people and things he doesn't like mortals? I don't know of any.
Admittedly, I used to think that Black recoloring Goku's Kamehameha was lazy, but now that he has his own attacks they're weird and a little out of place to me. So unless he resorts to stabbing people with his hair I'm not sure i'd have been happy with him no matter what they did.
Turles wasn't anything too special personalitywise I guess. It was the concept of eating a fruit that beats out Kaioken that made him unique... and well, being the spitting image of Goku.
But he really looked like a dark mirror of Goku. Whereas Black probably feels more like a dark mirror of Goku because he likes to fight, likes strong opponents, and obtains new powers off-screen.
I haven't played Xenoverse 2 so I don't know what he was like.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!The problem with Evil Goku as a concept is the same problem that an evil anything runs into: they end up looking and sounding like Shadow the Hedgehog. I don't think anyone ever had a problem with it as a concept so long as it avoided that stigma, which Goku Black did.
This song needs more love.Yanno, Turles actually offered to let you join him and it was a pretty good offer.
I mean, he makes the offer because he's horribly outclassed, but hey, he made it nonetheless, no strings attached. Just join me and let's go kill a bunch of people and possibly engage in other acts of debauchery and wanton destruction.
Also, I need to ask: Did anyone here have trouble with the Freeza/Cooler fight in Xenoverse 2?
Because it was painful watching TFS play it and constantly blame the game for just how bad they are at it. The fight wasn't even difficult, it just required you to not suck. I did it with a character that hadn't put a single point into Health, on my first try. It was like watching them play Final Bout on the PSX and, again, constantly blame the game for them not bothering to try anything but button mashing (too used to the modern fighting games that do 90% of the job for you) and their inability to figure out the cheat codes.

So in other words, they still spend more time fucking around and making stupid jokes then actually playing the game?
Sounds about right. Love their Abridged series, but I can stand their Let's Play videos. It's why I stopped watching their play through of the original Xenoverse. They're so busy talking up Dumpling that they keep failing to get anywhere, and I got sick of it.

One Strip! One Strip! It was the hardest fight up to that point. I hadn't been doing any P Qs up to that point, and I forgot items exist, and I had to retry once before I beat it. I think I was ~lvl 22-25 since I had done a bunch of mentor quests.
In other words, it was harder, but not as hard as they made it out to be.
Cooler seems to be That One Boss in Xenoverse 2 in general.
I haven't played the game, but I did watch the mentor modes with several of the characters. Turles was pretty annoying, and his techniques were pretty bad (or the player was bad, I don't know). He is a try hard version of Yamcha without his Steroid fruit.
Slug was more tolerable, even if he had less quotes.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.I had a difficult time without healing items but with them, it was pretty easy.
This song needs more love. And here I thought this
was the try-hard version of Yamcha (spoilers for Xenoverse 2... I guess)

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Blame the player, not the game...
Player rage.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Generally, when you watch their let's play, you're watching for the jokes in the first place, so it's only logical that they spend that time joking around.
However, when it becomes frustrating is when they start blaming the game for their own flaws. They expect to master the game immediately upon beginning to play it, and of course, they don't and then they rage about it.
The Freeza/Cooler fight is one of the most notorious in this regard because it's literally only their low skill level holding them back. It is harder than the fights before it, yes, but to me, it's the same thing as when people whine about Matador in Nocturne - it's not that the game suddenly became immensely harder, it's that the game is no longer treating you with kiddie gloves and isn't pulling punches anymore.
Here's one thing that I'll say and will praise the everloving hell out of Xenoverse 2 for: Super Armor is gone. Throughout the entirety of my playthrough of the game, I have not encountered one single enemy that possesses Super armor. Not even the bosses in the late Expert Missions.
Also, I kind of like the mechanic they gave the bosses in the late Expert Missions, who actually dodge every basic attaack you throw at them instead of tanking it like nothing. It's a mechanic that's very reminiscent of how fights between two foes of vastly different powerlevels went in DBZ, and it actually looks really cool when six people are all throwing blows at an enemy who is actually moving to dodge every attack. And it also helps that this can be negated by just hitting them with a Super first - and they're immobile while they're dodging someone else's basic attacks, so a team that's not shit can actually set up ultimate attack barrages like that.
Of course, the AI will never get in order so that I can hit the enemy with the Supernova that will take out two bars off of their health, but whatever.
Save for the expert missions, the enemies rarely do anything that you yourself cannot do. I think the only enemy that has the attacks from the Expert Missions that you face outside of one such mission is the final boss.
Xenoverse 2 really went out of its way to create better AI instead of relying on bullshit like infinite stamina, infinite ki and super armor to make the enemies harder.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariRage is making them blame the game, they acknowledged that...but still do it regardless.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Their problem is insisting that the game is an RPG with fighting game elements, ignoring how deep and involved the combo system is in favor of just trying to get their numbers high enough to win. They're refusing to treat it like it's a fighting game, and they're getting their asses kicked because of it.

Really, Zamasu is starting to make me cringe the amount of times he goes off about mortals and gods....mortals this, mortals that.
Shut up already.
