Wouldn't be able to keep up with Goku and Vegeta, but it would probably give anything that exists in the universe that isn't god-tier a run for their money.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.The idea that Bulma should be able to fight is weird to me. She's never been a fighter, and if she becomes one her value in that regard would be just as high as the other humans. However, Bulma is pretty much the High Empress of support characters. If people need to do something that isn't punching people in faces, chances are Bulma will get it done quick, fast and in a hurry. Trying to out-fight Goku and Vegeta is a losing game, but Bulma specifically kind of out-everything-elses both of them.
Remember, Gero was able to take two normal human teenagers with power levels in the single digits, and make them cyborgs strong enough to kill Super Saiyans. Imagine if someone like Yamcha, Tien, or even Krillin had that same thing done to them.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!![]()
Well, I understand that.
I know Bulma's not a warrior. She's one of the few characters who's importance stems from something beyond fighting.
And yeah, if there's anything left in the universe that isn't Frieza tier (or if you take a few points from the Androids, things that are) then Powered Armour could still be pretty damned useful.
And lets be honest: Goku actually allowed earth to be blown up twice (with one time being because he valued getting a good fight against Golden Frieza over working with Vegeta to finish it quickly). He's not a very reliable protector of Earth.
Edit:
You should probably reverse that to Krillin, Tien, and even Yamcha.
And Bulma and her dad (although stated to not be able to understand Gero's notes) are probably the only people on the planet who could figure that shit out... unless there's someone in the Galactic Patrol who's even smarter.

One Strip! One Strip!17 and 18 can get stronger if they train.
So I'm not sure where you got the idea that the androids are static.

I think that part was about 16, who's power proabably is static due to his entirely mechanical nature.
It also strengthens the point about how Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien would greatly benefit from Android upgrades.
This also brings my old question about the 17 and 18 using Kaiouken (back then, we didn't know if it would work with them).
Edit:
Neither do I. That's what I've been saying. It'd take her a long while, but I bet her and her dad could pull it off. They still have the notes from the androids (that was used to make the shut down switch) and they must have recorded some stuff back when they fixed 16.

One Strip! One Strip!Apparently they still age, they just age slowly. Which means 17 and 18 aren't immortal, and are just going to live for a very long time before finally dying.
Also, I specified Krillin because he's (presumably) the strongest human on the planet, so if he gets an Android upgrade then suddenly he's Perfect Cell level.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!In fairness, Bulma and Brief seem to be more specialized in theoretical physics (although now it's just physics) and aeronautics while Gero's specialties seem to be robotics and bio-engineering/bionics.
Like, they both can do stuff with computers. And I don't get the sense that Gero's A.I. work is actually programmed all that well. What with how many projects he's scrapped for that very reason.
He didn't manage to get an android that he could control and behaved exactly the way he wanted to until he stuck his own brain in it.
Basically every android we've seen turned on him except 19, 20 and Cell. And 20 and Cell really shouldn't count. Cell because he never even got a chance, so we can't say how he'd do if he ever met the guy, and also because he's more of a test tube genetic chimera than a robot, so how much "programming" was involved is up in the air.
Also, all scientists have shitty handwriting. And the geniuses tend to write in code because they're paranoid fuckers and they also use shorthand for terms and concepts that only they understand because they invented them.

It occurs to me that one day, Marron is going to find out what an android is. Then she's going to think she was adopted and it will be a very hard and awkward conversation to convince her that she wasn't.
Dr. Gero's semantic vengeance is yet to come.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.The fact that Gohan was nonlethally attacking an invading alien army that was was on his planet with the intended purpose of killing everyone and was under the employ of a genocidal mass-murderer is so fucking stupid.
My various fanfics. It occurs to me that the only cast member who deliberately killed anyone on Namek was Vegeta.
Goku just knocked the Ginyu Force out.
Gohan and Krillin kicked some people into the ocean, but. I don't know that they were trying too hard. Or if those two soldiers died.

There were those two Frieza Soldiers that Gohan and Krillin dropped immediately after arriving. It's never confirmed whether they killed them or not.
'd by edit.
But ignoring them, the only protagonists who actually won a fight on Namek were Goku and Vegeta.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. Those Nameks killed a few of Freeza's men.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Those Frieza soldiers might have died by drowning. Gohan and Krillin weren't concerned enough about it to fish them out.
Also, on the subject of terminology, technically 18 would be a Gynoid.
But anyway, I'm pretty sure the word in Japanese doesn't distinguish between cyborgs and full robots.
They don't count.
They don't even have names.

Cell's a bio-android. Like 17 and 18, he's biomechanical rather than augmented with physical machinery.
He's basically a clone with elaborate, specially crafted biological functions.
In addition to a roboticist, Dr. Gero is also a brilliant geneticist and anatomical genius too because sure, why not.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Biomechanical means any combination of organic with mechanical components.
Prosthetics count as biomechanical.
Like, technically biomechanics is the study of how biological things work mechanically. How your bones and muscles produce movement. The study of biological things as though they were machines. Which, technically, they kinda are?
I don't think 17 and 18 are completely and totally biologically human and organic. There's some wires and chips in there somewhere. Their eyes flash or glow or shine sometimes. Like the terminator. So Gero probably replaced or modified those.
Is blue even their natural eye color? Marron's eyes are black like Krillin's.
The fact that they don't need to eat means that there's something up with their stomachs.
Whether they don't eat or can't eat I don't know.
Dr. Brief makes cars and also rocket ships and also capsules that break conservation of mass.
Bulma makes radars that detect magic and time machines. And fixes spaceships at the age of 3.
Gero really isn't that far-fetched.

Those two soldiers were confirmed to have died in a guidebook. Even without that, they were knocked unconscious and kicked in the water, and neither Gohan or Kuririn cared at all about it.
So it's a bit weird for Gohan to be sparring them in Resurrection F. The difference could be that he's just so powerful compared to them that he can afford to spare them.
Also, only Gohan was stated to be sparring them.

I hear you, but I'm hoping if I don't care enough it won't matter.
This is why I sometimes find myself agreeing with Unnoun's boooo canon philosophy.
One Strip! One Strip!
