No, you don't have to think about DC feats very hard in the first place.

Characters like Odin and Galactus have all sorts of powers that let them do all sorts of things.

Even Goku's instant transmission is an explicit warping of time and space, so it doing things not covered by Super-Speed shouldn't be too surprising.

Now, as the CBUB put it, Superboy Prime can punch things, really hard, which somehow allows him to retcon reality. Hell, even The Flash at least has the dubious "speed force". How the hell did Superman vibrate his molecules to pass through a solid object? Because Superman comics have been about drawing what someone hopes kids will find cool since the 1980s. That's literally the reason he got so many powers in the first place, kids were asked what new power Superman should have next.

That's the root of DC's power scale. Superman keeps getting newer, stronger powers, everyone else looks bad, so then The Flash gets the speed force and all sorts of speed skills to look relevant again. Wonder Woman can fly too, without her jet, and gets a golden set of armor, and her bracelets can now make a force field, and she's immune psychic powers, and she has a sword that can shave electrons off atoms. Plasticman is immune to psychic assault too now, and immune to Circe's magic, and can reform after having his molecules scattered across the ocean floor. Fire can fly, and turn intangible. Martian Manhunter is now a Professor X level telepath who can also turn invisible and intangible at the same time and create ice cream with his mind. Trace it back to Superman dragging planets with regular chains, being revealed to have an accelerated healing factor, going on a roid rage type tantrum after "dipping" in the sun or developing "tactile" telekinesis.

Dragon Ball is where you just have to stop thinking too much about it and accept that a new villain stronger than the last is just around the corner.

I prefer thinking too much about things to highlight the fictionality.

I like seeing the strings.

Poking at them.

Seeing how everything comes together is cool, I like to see the mechanics of it all.

It's not always important.

Preferring not to think logically about things has its perks.

It means I won't cloud my mind overthinking every little detail, as a person who's always thinking...this is really terrible.

For the most part, I can turn my brain off, but my suspension of disbelief has limits.

Ironically, because it tends to be so absurd, the DC universe does not break my suspension of disbelief. Mostly, every series has a different threshold. Beerus, God of Destruction, didn't break my suspension of disbelief.

Cabba, random inexplicably god-tier Saiyan, however, did.

I thought we had agreed that Goku and Vegeta weren't using their divine ki-enhanced base states during the tournament, since otherwise their being able to use Super Saiyan wouldn't make any sense.

Not thinking too hard about one aspect of a work is not the same as turning your brain off.

I don't think too much about the fact Beerus exists and Buuhan is only equal to 2% of his power at best. There is always a stronger opponent in Dragon Ball, particularly when it comes to villains.

I've thought a lot about Beerus relations with the kai, his flat world in a galaxy seemingly not watched over them with another such galaxy in between. How he is more of a food connoisseur than the rapid eater that is Goku, how he seems to be based on a hairless cat, which means that purple stuff is probably his skin. How some of his techniques are similar to Freezas and from a narrative perspective, suggests Freeza is aping off of Beerus rather than the other way around, the humorous implications that come with the idea that godly energy can't be sensed. How nice it is that he's still stronger than Goku/Vegeta after at least one arc.

But don't question why he exists and is stronger than Buu. Unless Dragon Ball wants to really surprise us we'll be meeting the warrior(s) stronger than Beerus eventually, and at least one of them with be evil, or at least antagonistic to a potentially murderous degree.

Just saw Ressurection F last night. Seeing as how Freiza is my favorite DBZ villain, I pretty much loved it. The scene where he gets revived was all kinds of awesome, especially with the music. It was kind of interesting how the film is both a reverse of Frieza's Villain Decay and yet at the same time it also acts as one big Humiliation Conga for him.

Goku could train in a black hole provided Instant Transmission can escape its gravity field.

I mean, time dilation would make things weird once he came out, and good luck breathing unless your oxygen tank is also powerful enough to resist its gravity, but the fact is if IT lets him instantly relocate his particles from one point in space to another with no regard to gravity, velocity, or any other concept, he should be capable of escaping its event horizon, yeah?

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

If he can survive infinite gravity for the few seconds it would take to lock onto an energy signature to teleport to, then yes.

Actually, based on the image quality, part of me thinks this happened years ago, back when Jackie was still relatively young. So maybe late 90's-early 2000's.

I dunno, sounds like a buff version of the red-haired form.

Aside from Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan God SS, other names I personally like Super Saiyan Beyond God or Super Saiyan Legion.

Well it's more supposed to be named that because it's an ascension past a Super Saiyan God, like how Goku described Super Saiyan 2 as "a Super Saiyan that has ascended past a Super Saiyan." Have no idea where Super Saiyan Legion is even supposed to come from.

Remember, Super Saiyan 2 started out as Gohan becoming so enraged he went Super Saiyan AS a Super Saiyan. Super Saiyan Blue seems to be a way to handle God power, while Super Saiyan God is the raw God power.

Also: The Hyperbolic Time Chamber was stated to having been repaired/tweaked by Dende, hence why the old limits seem to not apply anymore.

And, about unnoun being the devourer of fictional worlds: Baconmaniac, the onomatopeia that applies in that case is not your standard ON NOM NOM, but rather UN NOUN NOUN. Seriously, what's the matter with missing golden pun opportunities...

Because of the white/blue/yellow/sparkly aura, feels like a bunch of transformations fused together into a new powerful form.

Ya know, kinda like how fusions have a voice of legion.
