Though sometimes there can be obvious patches of over thinking...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.-respectful nod-
I'm watching the back half of the Frieza arc in Super that I skipped and... and... and Vegeta just backhanded Frieza's Death Beam through Sorbet.
Not since Guldo have I seen a character die that pathetically in this show. Vegeta gets the best kills.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Suppose it'd be undefined.
He has to breathe again at some point.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yes but that's not a good reason to assume he'd have already done so. He did so with Goku's body because it was his idea for Goku to train with Kaio to combat the Saiyans. With the humans he met them in Heaven, then restored Chaozu's body specifically so he could train with Kaio.
So he wouldn't give them bodies until he knew they were going to go train with Kaio.
But like you said, there wasn't an explanation for these under either interpretation. It's just an anime inconsistency.
Well, it's definitely not automatic in the cases of Goku (originally) or Chaozu. Since we don't see the process anything more than that is an assumption, but I think it's safer to assume Kaio did it then try to apply more rules that won't consistently fit everyone who got a body.
He meets their souls...which looks like their bodies anyway, otherwise how would he recognize them from anyone else?
The physical bodies being teleported to Other World does explain why training growth carries over...that was something that confused me at first.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Actually pure souls looks like fluffy clouds. All I'm saying is that we never see Kami take the bodies of the falling Earth fighters despite some time passing between Vegeta's defeat and the bodies being collected. And even if those are their bodies, Piccolo should have been sent straight back to Earth when was revived like the other fighters. This happened to Piccolo in the manga, so the manga is the one not constant since the anime followed the manga in this example.
When I said same life force, I mean they basically share the same life, but they obviously have two different souls, otherwise they would have merge in the afterlife.

Okay, my new fan theory. Feezer was, intentionally or not, drawing out the reincarnation process much longer than it should have been due to his stubbornness, increasing his suffering in hell as a side effect. Dabura wouldn't suffer at all in hell and thus would reincarnate much more quickly.
Buldogue's lawyerMy theory is that reincarnation involves separating the soul from the morality and a higher percentage of good/evil ratio makes the process take longer. Kid Buu was so quick because his soul was 0% good, 100% evil so it was automatic. Freeza took longer because he was something like 15% good, 85% evil.
The process also isn't a constant one and needs to be done manually with a willing soul. Souls are made willing by either breaking them in Hell, or being given reincarnation as an available option anytime in Heaven.
Or maybe it's just that Freeza is so much of a dick that his punishment before his reincarnation takes longer.
Majin Buu isn't evil so much as it is an animal with no understanding of right or wrong that knows only the desire to destroy everything around it. It can't be evil because it's not sentient, it's not sapient, it doesn't think, it acts purely on instinct.
It is an animal, and as such, no more evil than a lion that eats people.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariA new challenge mission for DBH, fight the strongest warriors from that popularity poll a couple months ago! In specific regions of Japan, you have to go up against fierce foes like SSJB Goku (who's call GT Goku in the vid for some reason), SSJB Vegeta, SSJ4 Gogeta, SSJ4 GT Gohan, Broly (LSSJ and SSJ4), Super 17 (18 Absorbed), Broken Mask Time Breaker Bardock, SSJ3 Time Patrol Bardock, Darkness Towa, Tarble and... Yamcha.
Small Buu was definitely sentient. Sapient, not so much.
I like the fact Tarble is a boss because of a poll. It's like Paper Mario, where you can tell turtle wizard Mario is deathly afraid of healing items.
Buldogue's lawyer

I think it is more or less confirm they have different souls, but they share the same body, technically. Which is why when one dies the other dies. Or, maybe it is more correct to say that they share the same life-force.
