We need a couple more ones of battles for that to make sense.
As to story emphasis on the humans... you know, I would kind of like them to get their own mini-arcs, like 18 did at the tournament, but their dropping out of the main part of the action didn't really feel forced at all. I've said this before but as I was reading I actually kept track of when each character "leaves."
Well, Roshi was done after the Tien arc, Tien himself, alongside Yamcha, Krillin and Chiaoutzu were done after (or before in the latter's case) during Cell.
Gohan gave up fighting after Buu (though that seems to be changing).
Anyone I'm forgetting.
One Strip! One Strip! How could you possibly miss Roshi v. King Piccoro?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I try not to take Death Battle seriously, but unfortunately the very nature of it calls for nerds on the internet to argue about it. So alas.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I am annoyed I forgot about Roshi vs Piccolo. I guess that was his official last hurrah, even if forfeiting agains Tien was when he technically stepped off the stage.
One Strip! One Strip!

Death Battle had Toph beat Gaara. So, yeah, that's pretty much their credibility.
