Oolong totally deserved it. I'm just saying, she literally enslaved him with a voice-activated diarrhea pill simply because she thought his transformation ability would be really useful on her journey. He hadn't even done anything to her, and she openly acknowledges that they're taking him with them for his utility, not to keep him out of trouble.
...
Y'know, Goku might actually have learned the, "Spare Piccolo/Vegeta for their utility!" thing from her. Like Bulma basically kidnapping OolongHey! , Goku spares them because their continued existence is relevant to his interests.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Yes. Which is why it's funny that she didn't even seem mildly nonplussed in the next episode following Beerus backhanded her across the boat. She's polite and courteous to him.
Vegeta is the only person affected by the scene in which violence is committed against Bulma, including Bulma herself. The sole purpose of the scene was to give Vegeta a Manpain Power-Up with no intention of actually following up on how Bulma feels about it.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Well, that's because he's fucking Beerus!
Unfortunately, he can do whatever he wants by virtue of being stronger than everyone.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't think Bulma would be polite and courteous if Vegeta was f*cking Beerus.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Probably not, because Vegeta would be cheating on her with a male anorexic cat alien god.

How anorexic can he be when he finds the food humans make so fascinating?
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! The more I think about Vegeta's rage power-up, the more I honestly don't like it. Even in Battle of Gods. I mean, I like it even less in Super, where it's just needlessly dragged out, but still.
Cause, like...Vegeta never got rage boosts before. That was supposed to be Gohan's thing. It's actually kind of inconsistent. If Vegeta had gotten rage boosts, he would probably have gone Super Saiyan 2 on Cell after Trunks was killed. (Which people actually wanted to happen, from what I can tell.)
God, Super is just making me hate Vegeta. I don't WANT to hate him, but they've been giving him such preferential treatment, it's annoying me.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!It would be less stupid but still stupid, because it would still require him to surpass Super Saiyan 3 Goku on-the-spot.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. That could easily be hand-waved that Goku wasn't allowed to train until Mr. Satan showed up with the money and Vegeta surpassed him (except for SS3) through training non-stop, combined with keeping the Madjinn power-up.

It's not a Fan Nickname if only one fan uses it. To quote the trope page's first sentence (emphasis mine):
The "Goku not being allowed to train" bit is shaking largely because, I'm not clear on how much time has past.
But the part with Vegeta just sounds stupid. Wasn't the "Majin power-up" just basically him being forced (though he actually wanted it) to say fuck you to morals so he could draw out all his powers? Assuming that power went away to begin with after he came back to his senses, I don't see how him staying like that would contribute much.

Vegeta would have to be able to reach deep inside himself in order to achieve Super Saiyan 3. Goku had 7 years of being dead to figure it out, so I doubt Vegeta having a few minutes of being downright pissed off at Beerus for slapping his wife would cause him to do it.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? Now I'm just realising "Majin Vegeta" is an actually stupid name that doesn't really make sense. "Majin" just means 'magical beast', right? But Vegeta doesn't become a magical beast. I guess you could say he's been magically enhanced, but that's about it.
I mean, "Majin" doesn't refer to Babidi's group. It just refers to what kind of being Buu is.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!![]()
Again, a Hand Wave that Vegeta has been trying to figure it out since the Buu Saga and Bulma getting slapped was the straw that broke the camel's back would fix that issue fine.
True; we have absolutely zero confirmation in the manga that Majin is actually what the evil powered-up fighters of Babidi were called.

I don't think there is a way to salvage Vegeta's Manpain Power-up. It's still a stupid scene, even if you change the nature of the power-up. It's only purpose in Battle of Gods was to shill Vegeta and it's only purpose in Super was to adapt what happened in Battle of Gods - and, as previously mentioned, Toei didn't even bother giving Bulma much of a reaction to it, as she was basically just a Sexy Lamp for the purposes of the scene anyway.
The best way to play that scene would be to simply not do it.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Have Beerus hit Chaozu and have Tenshinhan get a man-pain powerup.
And then Tenshinhan goes down and Yamcha gets a man-pain powerup.
And then Yamcha goes down and nobody cares.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!

Kids can be molesters too, ya know.
... I wonder if that's a trope.
Also, I just noticed the new mage characters in DBH are literally named after soul food. (Putine and Gravy)
