So...still as strong as imperfect Cell?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I am not sure about that. Despite what some people think, Dragon Ball usually have a reason for it power scaling. Before anyone brings up Frieza he was a mixture of being a mutant, a prodigy, and it was lampshades by everyone about how he became so strong. Also, going by Word of God, Frieza unlocked all his latent potential and wouldn't get stronger (specifically he said that Frieza will never catch up to Beerus).
On a lighter note and unrelated note, I find it hilarious that Champa didn't vet his own team. He didn't even know Frost could transform or why he was even on his team. Seems the only person he even remotely chose was Cabba and that's just because he wanted a Saiyan on his team.
I think he was actually as strong or stronger than Semi-Perfect Cell at that point.
But I'm not actually sure.
Anyway, I just saw the new episode, and I have three thoughts.
1. Frost is a really cool character.
2. How can Goku go SSJ, wouldn't he just go SSJB?
3. Did Goku just throw the fight?

what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI think Goku can switch between going to a normal Super Saiyan and becoming a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. We just didn't see it in Resurration 'F' since he says he will go all out against Frieza. Since Goku was trying to save energy for the next fight, it makes since why he didn't go the overkill route.
I also don't think Goku threw the fight. Although he may sympathize with Frost, Goku has too much pride as a fighter to go down. The question is, was Goku's state Frost's doing of someone's else. It can go either way since the scene was quite vague. I am personally leaning towards someone else since Frost seemed surprise by what was happening to Goku and since Frost appeared to be an honorable guy, I can't imagine him wanting to win through trickery, especially after acknowledging Goku as a Worthy Opponent.
The intro is actually a spoiler: the U6 fighters will fight in this order: Botamo, Frost, Magetta, Cabba, Hit.
The next fights will go as follows:
Piccolo vs Frost (Piccolo wins)
Piccolo vs Magetta (no clue who wins)
Piccolo vs Cabba OR Vegeta vs Magetta (Cabba or Vegeta wins)
Vegeta vs Cabba (Vegeta probably takes this, considering Cabba didn't even know Saiyans even could transform)
Vegeta vs Hit (Vegeta worfs to Hit)
Monaka vs Hit (no clue who wins; though probably Monaka)
No idea about the aftermath though.

Well, it's a tournament setting. It's a little different. Heck, Goku says that if they weren't in a tournament seeing and had elimination via ring-out, Botamo would have beaten him.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Sorry for another topic change, but my mind is blurring with thoughts about Frost. I noticed something interesting about Frost, height-wise, he seems to be slightly taller than Freeza in their respective 1st and Final Forms. But, Frost is only a few inches taller than Goku in Assault Form, while Freeza is 8-9 feet tall in 3rd Form. Basically, Frost is a good 2-3 feet shorter in their respective long-headed middle forms!

I did noticed that. His third form is smaller than Frieza since that form for Frieza was about as big or biggest than Piccolo. But that isn't too surprising. King Cold, who looks like second form Frieza, is much bigger than Frieza in the same form.
Also, I loved how they managed to make Frost very similar to Frieza, but it's very obvious that he isn't Frieza.
I liked that too.
So should we be expecting some Frost vs Frieza special dialogue in the next DBZ game?
It's a pretty good opportunity.
One Strip! One Strip!Oh man, just when it looked good, Goku just dropped down for no discernible reason. Seriously, poor guy didn't have a good, clean win since Namek.
Also, I know SSB was a disappointment, but now we are going back to just the plain old SSJ? Pretty disappointing.
Frost being a ridiculously nice guy was pretty funny tho.
Is Super up to 10 chapters, or 9?
Late to the party here, but reading Chapter 9, Champa and Vados are surprised when Goku turns Super Saiyan. The Saiyans in this universe were actually good people, so... they don't have any Super Saiyan forms like Goku's in Champa's universe? In any event, the female Saiyan what's-her-face is among the five strongest fighters despite that?
Interesting.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Regarding the Humans of U6 being more evil
The humans of U6 wiped themselves out according to what we've been told.
The humans of U7 almost did worse. The WMD's name was Cell and it was designed to end all life in the universe.
"Wiped themselves out" doesn't have to be a moral judgment on the entire species. It doesn't take very many fingers on nuclear launch buttons to end all life on the planet.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I'm actually fairly delighted that the Champa arc is actually proving to the peak of the series so far. Interesting new characters, the pacing is leagues better than what we got before (two fights in the space of a single episode!) and the fights themselves are actually interesting, especially now that Goku is now eliminated from the tournament. Toriyama's influence in this arc is apparent.
I fell out of the series when they were still on a boat, motherf*cker, don't you ever forget. But I've been reading the manga. Will I miss out on anything important if I skip the recap arcs and just start watching at the start of the Universe Tournament?
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. There is a recap episode that highlights what happened so far. Episode 30 I think. It's when Goku and Vegeta are gathering the other fighters.
Personally, I like the retelling of Resurrection 'F'. The amount of Call Backs and nods to the Saiyan and Namek Sagas made my day. Frieza being more of a Jerkass and even more insane, what he did to Togama, Ginyu's return, and Goku being more digested with Frieza really made this arc different from the movie. Frieza destroying the Earth was far more heart breaking than the movie, which felt rush. The fights were no where near as good as the movie, but that was expected. The movie has some of the best fighting sequences in the entire series.
Battle of God, I adore Beerus and Goku's fight far more than the movie and it great to watch all at once and not weekly. The Super Saiyan God ritual is also more epic and I need that music on my phone. But the movie is overall better.
The Super manga, I honesty don't like how Goku is protrayed in it, especially calling Gohan a little shit. Goku would never talk about his son that way, even if he didn't train and had to work instead of coming to a tournament. I also don't like the term Super Saiyan Blue because it reminds me of Pepsi Blue.
I am certain Goku didn't go Super Saiyan God Supet Saiyans is because this is a tournament and he doesn't want to accidentally kill Frost. Goku rarely goes the overkill route.

Piccolo was only particularly strong against a untrained Super Saiyan. Once Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan mastered their forms, they left him in the dust. He is stronger than Goten and Trunks even as Super Saiyans since they're young and untrained. I think by the Buu Saga he was only as strong as Imperfect Cell.
I think since he does train all the time it is possible for him to be around Cell's level, but I can't imagine him being as strong as Super Perfect Cell. I know some fans have this thing about the Namekian Book of Legend that was mention in passing and somehow will turn Piccolo into a Namekian God, but that is a big Ass Pull if they go that route.
Although I do make me wonder if any race can become god. I mean, why is godhood on for the Saiyans and it's implied that Beerus was once a mortal since Whis tried to offer Goku a job.
