Well to be fair, he was already pretty crazy and blood-thirsty in the first movie, him nearly dying again, by the man he hates this time, and getting frozen in an ice cap for seven years in a near death state, may not have helped his sanity at all.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!My problem with the Broly movie is that it lacks anything resembling a good fight. I mean, Broly's basically invincible and that was cool for awhile but when it was time to beat him he is still dominating until literally the last punch and he just explodes(?).
Yeah, Super Android 13 had scenes that at least resembled good fights, even if they really weren't. Goku was able to hold his own with Janemba until he turned that thing into a sword, Hiredagarn at least had a weakness to exploit, Hatchyak's attacks could at least be predicted and dodged, Turles was put on the run, ect.
What is it about Broly people love. Okay, for me it's playing as him in super sonic warriors 2 but until then I didn't get the appeal at all and still don't see what the big deal about his movie is.
"Worlds Strongest" and "Wrath Of The Dragon" are probably my favorites. I also has soft sports for "Fusion Reborn" and "Dead Zone".
Buldogue's lawyerGoddammit, Putine's name is a play on poutine.
Fuckin' Toriyama...
Also, Veggie gets all the fun mini-figs.

I feel like people like the Broly movie BECAUSE Broly is practically invincible in it. He just beats down everyone and it honestly feels like he shouldn't have been defeated at all.
But you can only play that card so many times before it starts becoming ridiculous. In this case, once.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! The Shin Kikoho is the rapid-fire Kikoho, rather than a Super Kamehameha deal. There is a functional difference in the techniques.
Wrath of the Dragon and Bojack Unbound are my favourites. Wrath feels the most like a proper movie, Bojack Unbound has some great scenery and choreography. Also, fucking space pirates. I love pirates.
edit: On Broli, he should have had some connection to Goku considering that he is also inspired by Sun Wukong. It's just that the reason they went with is so fucking stupid.
I think if they had allowed Broli and Goku to interact more to begin with, and for Broli to detest Goku for not being a 'true' Saiyan in his demeanor, would be a good way to set them up as enemies.

Yeah. That would have worked out pretty well actually.
I also like Bojack for being on of the few movies that could fit in canon without any work happening (the era between when Goku died after the fight with Cell and when Gohan started going to school completely blank, so there's nothing to contradict).
As mentioned before, I also have a soft-spot for the Return of Coola, due to being my very first movie. Nothing will change that.

One Strip! One Strip!I appreciated the first Broly movie at the time because it was the first one that really tried to tell a story beyond "bad guy shows up; thirty minute long fight scene ensues" like the Super 13 one, but Broly really should've been a one-and-done villain. That Offhand Backhand destruction of the alien slaves' planet was a bitchin' Kick the Dog moment though.
My Megaman and MegaTen RPG LiveblogsHuh. Dragon Ball Z Kai seems to have left out the part where Gohan daydreams that Goku comes home safe and sound, but then he turns into Frieza and then taunts him that Goku is dead and a loser.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! So, Vegeta, then? Vegeta is the best depiction of Broly?
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub....in what way does Broly?

Like, okay, he kills for lulz instead of profit, but so does Vegeta.
He callously disregards the lives of other Saiyans, but so does Vegeta. It's noted as exceptional cruelty for a Saiyan, too. Not a standard Saiyan attribute.
What makes Broly the embodiment of Saiyan traits?

It's like...they could have kept interesting stuff in, but then they decided to make Broly The Berserker who literally only says "Kakarrot!" the entire movie.
If Broly 2 and 3 hadn't existed, I might not have hated his character as much.
