Yep. Basically any rumor that Toriyama was forced to continue at any point is false.
That this is just his writing style is also part of why I suspect that he had greater plans for Mecha-Frieza and King Cold before he went, "Y'know what? I'm bored of that. Let's do Time Travel and Killer Robots! I am somehow a big fan of Terminator, after all."

You'd think there be some kind of list by now.
Super is definitely making money. At least, in the merchandise department. Toei and Bandai's sale forecast for Dragon Ball in 2016 is huge. They're expecting it to blow up a lot.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! He's doing "Super" out of anger caused by the bastard child of his work and "Avatar The Last Airbender.
And yes, the villain of "Battle Of Gods" was originally going to be virus based but Toriyama turned it into a pun on beer that in no way reflected anything about the character.
Also, the original script writer was a Vegeta fanboy who said Vegeta was the unsung hero of Dragon Ball. The idea of someone who read Dragon Ball and came to the conclusion Vegeta was unsung or the hero, much less Running the Asylum after coming to either conclusion, is one I'd rather not think about. I'm glad Toriyama took a hatchet to the thing. As much as I complained about Vegeta's random rage boost in the film, about him not falling down the ranks the same way Piccolo had and allowing Majin Buu to become the main rival, I can only imagine how much worse things would have been without Toriyama.
Buldogue's lawyerThe point of the movie though would have been about Goku though and him understanding what a true "hero" is. And he would have still been the one who would have gotten Super Saiyan God in the thing.
Seriously, the movie would have been just as much about Goku as really every other movie Toei made.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I can imagine the writers for Super being Vegeta fanboys. Battle of Gods...not as much.
I'm still kinda pissed off that Super removed the line about how Vegeta is too tense in battle and that's why he's not as strong as Goku.
Right now, it feels like Vegeta literally has no flaws. And he's better than Goku in every conceivable way.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Humility, seems to be the only thing keeping Vegeta from being...whatever it is that's so bad about him right now.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Looking up the story for the latest Naruto game (I don't like the manga but the games are fun), and I was thinking...
Why haven't any of the Dragon Ball games have the story mode start at the Bardock Saga (Father of Goku + Dragon Ball Minus) instead of having it as a side story.
Imagine a cinematic story mode that goes in this order:
- Bardock Saga
- Jaco Saga
- Pilaf Saga
- Tournament Saga
- Red Ribbon Saga
- Baba Saga
- Tien Saga
- King Piccolo Saga
- Piccolo Jr. Saga
- Saiyan Saga
- Frieza Saga
- Trunks Saga
- Android Saga
- Cell Saga
- World Tournament Saga
- Buu Saga
- Beerus Saga
- Resurrection Saga
- Champa Saga
And then it'll have side sagas such as:
- Missions based off the one-off movies & specials. (Episode of Bardock, World's Strongest, Hatchiyack, etc...)
- Garlic Jr. Saga (Dead Zone and the filler episodes)
- Broly Saga (Legendary Super Saiyan, Second Coming, Bio-Broly)
- GT Sagas (Baby, Super 17, Shadow Dragons, A Hero's Legacy)
- Time Patrol Sagas (Xenoverse, Dragon Ball Online): This could be the second story mode though...

Not starting from the Saiyan Saga isn't popular, mang.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I know, but I feel starting a game from Bardock's POV might feel a bit more satisfying.
Imagine fighting off aliens with your Saiyan comrades, then getting the weird psychic powers and exploring Planet Vegeta to go meet off with Gine to set a plan to get baby Kakarrot off the planet, and going back to the previous planet to find your friends dead due to Dodoria, fighting him off, and then going to try to fight off Frieza.
And then, once Planet Vegeta explodes, in the darkness of space, the logo of the game fades in.
Dragon Ball NAME OF GAME

I'd just like a game that includes Dragon Ball.
That's why I said a chronological cinematic story mode.
That said though, CC2's not really much of a gameplay-first type of company, so I'd like for them to collaborate with Dimp's Street Fighter division on such a Dragon Ball game.
That way it could look AND play awesome!

My perfect Dragon Ball game would be similar to Xenoverse in plot, a 3D Supersonic Warriors 2 mixed with a 3D Super Smash Bros in controls, an RPG element similar to Buu's Fury, an open world similar to Fallout, including the entire Dragon Ball Earth, North Kaio's planet, Namek, the planet of the Kaioshin, Toki Toki City, the barren planet the U6/U7 tournament's taking place, and all future locations, and incorporation of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super, leaving out GT and the movies entirely.
I would also like a game that starts with Goku meeting Bulma instead of Goku meeting Raditz.
I would not disapprove of using Bardock as a prologue.

It was making money.
