I mean, he definitely didn't train seriously.
He mentions his parents training him, but it's questionable how intense said training would have been. It would probably have been basic stuff like ki control as opposed to serious strength training or combat training.
The Death Beam and Death Ball show that either Frieza was so overwhelmingly powerful that he didn't have to put much effort in, or when that wouldn't work, he would just blow it all up and call it a day.
Frieza can go small or go big, not much in between.

Seriously?
Oh look, you did the "one word and then a punctuation mark" thing too. And the ellipses before a short sentence. And a line break after a single sentence that was only three words long. Wow. Nobody else posts like that.
You say "seriously?" at least as much as I say "like." or "and." if not more so.
I recognize that I have developed some egregiously bad habits in my posting style, but I'm not going to take abuse from someone over it when their own habits are every bit as irritating and they're completely ignoring them to get one up on me.
It's not even like there aren't probably valid reasons to dislike me. I swear a lot, I'm rude, I'm aggressive, I'm petty and spiteful and mean, I'm arrogant, I'm brash, I'm opinionated, I get easily distracted and sidetracked, sometimes I say things that are a little ableist. The structure of the way I talk being a bit annoying by your standards isn't really a valid reason. Partly because, while I haven't said anything, because I've been trying to be nice, I find the way you post every bit as annoying.

This is completely irrelevant to Dragon Ball, don't you agree?
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWell at least you guys admit it, you assholes.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!IIRC, it was Saiga himself who brought it up, and when I went to look it up, it was there in at least the Spanish version of the manga, at least the line about his parents only being able to get dust on him in fourth form.

I have the DVD's, I'll see if the line about his parents was in the Japanese version.

Ya know, that sounds vague enough to not be considered training but another trope entirely.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. When it comes to powerlevels I remember reading a theory that as power levels increase the difference between powerlevels becomes more and more meaningless. So the difference between powerlevels of 3500 and 4000 would be massive, but the difference between powerlevels 15000000 and 15500000 is actually far less. Basically as powerlevels increase the differences become more and more meaningless.
My friend Max once said Goku's power level is 73 trillion.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! The amount of things Toei doesn't realize about this series could fill a book.
Like, it's funny that the Genki-Dama has this reputation of being overpowered and constantly used to win every fight because in the series proper, it's only used three times and two of those were abject failures. It injured Vegeta a bit before he resumed beating the hell out of everyone and it pissed off Frieza enough to stop playing around and commence murdering everybody.
Excluding the movies, the only time the Genki-Dama actually won a fight was against Pure Buu, and it took a lot of effort outside the technique to actually make it work. Mr. Satan fame-whoring the entire planet and a miracle wish off a magical dragon were required for the move to actually succeed.
He was Awesome, but Impractical against Pure Buu. Potentially more powerful if not for the immense drawbacks that guaranteed he couldn't actually hit that height.
The second time, anyway. Goku tried to play the Cruel Mercy card twice.
He mentions his parents are the only people ever to get dust on him. This doesn't necessarily mean he trained. There are other possible reasons for why Frieza and his father may have come to blows at some point in his life, which delve into the unknown history of Frieza and how he came to be the ruler of the PTO while King Cold is basically a useless relic.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.If he wasn't pissed, sure.
It could have been a hostile takeover or something. Frieza wanted the PTO so he challenged his father for it.
It could have been an attempt at punishment. Frieza did something bad, his father tried to punish him, Frieza pushed back and established dominance.
At some point, Frieza rose above King Cold on the pecking order. We don't know how or why that came about, but Frieza has mentioned that King Cold "got dust on him" once. The two points seem to complement each other.

Super Saiyan's stamina drain is a lot less though.
And, after Goku was in the time chamber, basically non existent.
