@IANCE, I'm pretty sure a lot of people in the US would consider you "Hispanic". Like, I've meet a white Argentinian at school and other similar "white" people from other Spanish-speaking countries that people definitely think of that way. People might be taken by surprise but categorizing is pretty easy. Whether that's good or bad is an entirely different discussion.
XD That's hilarious. I love the sarcastic look on Goku's face. Like he's thinking, "Ugh, this guy again."

Well, yeah, but I'm not sure what the racist part is here. That you're white but would be considered "Hispanic"? I'm not really seeing why those two things are mutually exclusive (though, I guess most people do treat them as if they are). Unless you personally just don't like the term.

But Goku's bored look is perfect for the movie!
He looks like he's too busy trying to figure out why we're rehashing this premise (a second time if you consider that this is a remake of the rehash) to care about being punched in the face.

◊ exist!
BTW the US census counts white Hispanics as just "Hispanic" (it's like a 50/50 split between light skinned and dark skinned Hispanics). It doesn't matter what your skin color is. Speaking of which, North Africans and Arabs are just listed as "white".

Well, my dad is a really white Mexican. Nobody can tell he's not American until he talks, and even then they just think he's from anywhere ranging from Honduran to Bosnian. He even plays jokes on the people in the drive thru by giving them five guesses as to where he's from, and they hardly ever get it right.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?![]()

For lack of any other place to put them + some politicking way back when when Arab immigrants wanted to be considered white. Just a messy business all around.
But it's much more fun to just assume that the US officially thinks that Egyptians and Iraqis are more white/European than Argentinians.

Though this discussion really has no place in this thread, I still feel the need to point out that, as far as the census is concerned anyway, being "Hispanic" is entirely separate from being "white" or "black" or "Asian" for that matter. So you're wrong in saying that Argeninians, by virtue of being from Argentina (or any South American country) are considered "non-white". They're as white as the population defines itself.
How people actually feel about that can vary but I just felt the need to clarify.
So...about that Dragon Ball?

Actually, I have just about zero 'hispanic' blood in me. I'm not 'obsessed' with being considered "White" or European, nor is the rest of my country. I'm actually serious about this, no native blood whatsoever. Not even Spanish. Frenchmen on all sides of my family, actually, which is arguably even worse but I digress (at least I get legal license to make fun of Frenchmen so... yay, I guess?)
I'm, however, proud to call myself Latin American. And also joke about "America" being a continent and not a country because America is a continent not a country.
My point with the racism thing is: "Hispanic" is not a race. People assume it is, and people will call someone from Latin America "Latino" or "Hispanic" like that term actually means what they think it means.
Also that comic is actually kinda offensive towards my country, but mostly because goddamn, that's President Macri in a nutshell (except his method of 'fixing' the economy is lifting import taxes, which ruins the economy in a different way than closing down imports, because in politics, everyone's dumb, corrupt, greedy or all of the above).
