.....
So. Any thoughts on what will happen in the series after the Universe 6 / Universe 7 tournament?
I mean, if it's still gonna be going on after that, they have to have an idea of where their going right? Because that's something we haven't discussed yet.
One Strip! One Strip! At least Yamcha's Japanese voice actor
respects him.

Believe me I like Yamcha, but mocking him's as almost as funny as mocking myself. And I love myself.
I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..Hey. I think some of the jokes are kinda funny too.
It's mainly that people seem to do it as a cheap laugh, and that it happens out of fucking nowhere sometimes.
I really would rather not bring him up anymore. There's nothing to say, either serious or humorous that hasn't been said a million times already.
That ain't gonna happen though, so I'll either deal with it, or become so bitter that I derail every dragon ball thread on every website out of genuine spite, becoming the biggest asshole in existence.
And I'm already an Uchiha so that would be quite an accomplishment.
One Strip! One Strip!Krillin's f*ck-ups aren't as funny, though.
Yamcha was once defeated in the Tenkaichi Budokai by God headbutting him in the balls - an apt metaphor for his life, really. It was hilarious and made very little difference to the arc.
Krillin almost got everyone killed by Cell because his boner overrode his common sense.
Yamcha's cock-ups are funny because the only person who's ever died from Yamcha cocking up is Yamcha. When Krillin fumbles the ball, it's usually with the fate of the world on the line.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Aww look guys, you broke Rob again.
To be fair, it's not like Yamcha didn't have high points in his career too.
Well, there's your problem.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. It's a double-pronged cock-up. Vegeta and Krillin both screwed up. Vegeta screwed up maliciously and Krillin screwed up because his erection bested his judgment in a duel to the death. But in Vegeta's defense, Krillin bears a greater deal of fault because Vegeta is a delaying tactic at best. That Vegeta will make a bad situation worse is an inevitability, especially at this point in time where he only barely qualifies as "not actively the villain".

I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..Did you all even read the second part?
If it helps, there were a lot of mistakes that resulted in Goku both being and remaining dead. Most directly at fault is Gohan for being so overwhelmed by Super Saiyan 2's hyperaggressiveness that he wasted time sadistically torturing Cell instead of just killing him and being done with it.
I wouldn't even say Krillin breaking the remote contributed much to the development of Lazullin. Spending a Shenron wish to remove her self-destruct mechanism out of an ignorant but selfless desire to see her happy with 17 seemed to make a much stronger impact on her, and nothing terrible came of that.
And since we were talking about Yamcha, it should be noted that while the fanbase makes a huge fuss about Bulma leaving him for Vegeta, it's to his credit that Yamcha doesn't make a very big deal of it. By the end of the Cell Saga, he's moved on and has a new girlfriend. In fact, we rarely see him angst over it at all. If anything, he seems perfectly content with whatever life he's living offscreen in the Buu arc. After his relationship with Bulma ends, he's pretty upbeat.

I love you, Krillin!! -struggling to breathe- I love you as well, honey..

It is? I could swear it's an energy blast. Anyway, even though this is another attempt to downplay what Tien did, I'm gonna agree that he did no damage to Cell.
Damaging Cell wasn't the point anyway. He knew he couldn't actually hurt him. He was just trying to buy as much time as possible. At that point, keeping Cell from absorbing 18 for a few seconds longer was better than doing nothing. Things got desperate, and he took a desperate action that paid off in the short term at least. In the long run, it ended up being meaningless due to later things.
Let me just say this again: I get that Yamcha is a Butt-Monkey in the series. He fell into a habit of being the first to go down, and never accomplish anything, and people latched onto it.
THAT'S THE FUCKING PROBLEM! People latched on to it way too hard, and now you can't even blink without someone pointing out how awful and weak and pointless he is. I'm sick of it. The horse they are beating isn't just dead, it's mulched into paste from the constant attacks. there's nothing but a fine slurry left, but people still keep kicking it into paste.
We all flip out when a character gets over hyped or over wanted and start saying enough already! Sometimes we start hating the dude because he's hyped to much. And yet, people refuse to grow tired of ripping on Yamcha, when the joke is, as far as I'm concerned, well past dead. It's Heaven dead. The body has a halo, and then is killed again. It's total Cessation of Existence as far as I'm concerned.
I would literally do just about fucking anything to kill this joke, even if it made me the biggest asshole on the internet, because I'm that fucking sick of it. I'd rather never talk about him again then have people randomly bringing him up for a cheap fucking joke. That's how far I am with this shit.
I'd rather talk about fucking Power Levels. That's how far I am with this shit.
I'd rather talk about anything. Anything at all.
And on a final note:
Did he ever really cheat? I figured Toriyama said that as a half assed justification for breaking him up with Bulma, and wasn't serious about it.
One Strip! One Strip!
