No, she wouldn't. Piccolo and Gohan are stronger than her, they still got to fight.

Oh don't get me wrong, so am I - I like all three of those and think they need more development.
But I'm not just annoyed that 18 is getting sidelined, the crap that goes with it is just unbearable. Though I have to say if they have the stones to actually say Stay in the Kitchen I'll at least applaud them making it clear it's not excusable.
Ten being involved over any other potential is one of the negatives of the movie (and Super). He doesn't even contribute anything, just some scenes of him throwing some punches and kicks and one Kikoho. How is that even enjoyable? The other characters had interactions, funny moments, or some cool scenes even if I don't agree with their inclusion. Everything he did was bog standard.

I think you need to accept at this point that some people just really like Tenshihan.
I mean, I get it. You think he has no purpose or value, and you've made some point (some I agree with, some I don't) about why he is useless, but some people just really like him.
I'm just gonna accept it. I mean, I liked seeing a huge mass battle (never happened in DBZ before) so I'm just gonna roll with it.

One Strip! One Strip!I don't particularly have a problem with his or Roshi's inclusions, it's just that excluding character's around the same level or much stronger than them makes no sense.
As has been mentioned, it just seems really arbitrary outside of shameless pandering and they didn't even do anything really cool to warrant it.
"Tien is pointless" wasn't even the argument being made, man.
It was more of "Tien's involvement in the movie wasn't enjoyable; all he got was some basic fighting animations, and not even any good fight scenes or character interaction".

I have a message from another time...He's still better than Chiaotzu and Yamcha. At least his death in the Saiyan Saga wasn't as dumb as their deaths.
Also...I just don't care anymore about who fights or whatever anymore. They clearly won't change it and trying to make them change it will be a long battle I don't feel like taking part in, plus I don't feel like getting too worked up over a series about an alien monkey man with spiky hair that involves lots of shouting and punches.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? That's also irrelevant to the argument I was making.
Hell, I could see either of them being more entertaining in this movie since Yamcha is generally humorous even if it is at his expense and Chaozu has cool powers.
edit: and even though it's irrelevant I don't see how his death is any less dumb than Chaozu's. Both made a senseless sacrifice.

He needs to learn to do a better job of it.
Okay, maybe we'll get lucky and they'll do a better job of making Tien's part of the fight interesting. Not much hope for it, but it doesn't hurt to hope.
If it did, people'd do it a lot less.
One Strip! One Strip!

Because efffortlessly taking out Freeza's minions means they can't kill anyone? Why not stop the threat immediately?
I have a message from another time...
