I like how y'all just ignored the part where I said that you can guide the characters into doing what you need them to do and just assumed I meant that the author has no control of his story.
And people wonder why there's a lot of stupid arguments in forums.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI think God headbutting Yamcha in the nuts perfectly illustrates how mcuh of a Chew Toy he was.
Don't want to get into any Yamcha debates. Spitting in the wind accomplishes a lot more then going to that well again.
I admit, I'm a little stuck on how the english dub set it up. I did think they were kinda a team, but yeah, they were never that important beyond when they were introduced.
That being said, even though it worked out well, Toriyama pairing up Bulma with the man who indirectly murdered her then current boyfriend at the time just for the plot is still kinda a dick move.
I'm pretty sure even the dude playing Yamcha was like what the hell Akira? on that one.
Now what he did, and what he's been doing to Gohan is frustrating. Not wanting him to be the hero, thereby wasting his development is one thing (and a frustrating thing at that) even powering up Vegeta is one thing.
Actually nerfing Gohan due to lack of training is inexcusable. I mean, why not just say the Mystic power up keeps him at maximum all the time, so that he no longer needs to train would have worked.
Goku and Vegeta are stronger with the God power anyway, so there was no need to pull Gohan down to bellow that. It's just pointless.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm trying to figure out who you mean. Vegeta gets the same shit that Goku gets. And no other non-human trains as hard as Vegeta.
Yamcha cheated on her so Bulma decided to screw Vegeta the one time to get back at him.

And why would he suddenly cheat on her.
I'm pretty sure him cheating on her is a lame excuse Toriyama came up to justify her suddenly getting funky with Vegeta.
Now, I'm not totally complaining, cause Trunks is awesome on two levels, but still.
We know he just makes shit up as he goes to some extent.
One Strip! One Strip!Pretty sure they weren't a couple by the time Z started. When she shows up at the Kame House and Krillin asks her about Yamcha she says she doesn't want to know him after what he did to her.

What I mean is, by the end of Z; Goku was the undisputed best between him and Vegeta, and the latter accepted this. He was also surpassed in power by Gotenks, Mr. Buu, and Gohan being stronger than him. I understand he trains hard, but to surpass all three and give a better showing against Beerus than them in the span of six months?
Yamcha and Bulma's relationship was miserable. They got together out of mutual desperation and constantly complained about how terrible their relationship was. Nothing of value was lost when they finally split for good.
Yes, it was a bitch move for Bulma to hook up with the man responsible for her ex's temporary death, but Bulma is Queen Bitch of Bitch Mountain so it shouldn't be too surprising. This is a character who shot a 12-year-old in the face, then tried to seduce him into giving her his Dragon Ball, then settled for manipulating the simpleton into being her muscle on her adventure while lying to him about the possibility of getting the Four-Star Ball back when all was said and done, all within her first episode.
She's not a great person, is what I'm driving at.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I always saw it as Bulma being a Clingy Jealous Girl. Vegeta couldn't give 2 fucks about anything except fighting. Plus all of that Belligerent Sexual Tension has to be resolved somewhere.
Why do people keep saying Vegeta killed Yamcha? Vegeta didn't kill anyone on Earth- not for lacking of trying, mind you. Nappa's the one who killed everybody. Except for that one scrub who died fighting a Saibaman.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Although that quote isn't entirely true - Vegeta killed Nappa. That's someone.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Vegeta also blew up a Saibaman for losing to Tien.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Did Bulma and Yamcha's relationship have more, umm, depth in the anime? I recall, in the way way back, a lot of people being upset that she got with Vegeta and dumped him, but in the manga they have barely any screen time as a couple and most of what's there is devoted to how miserable they are. Bulma/Vegeta was far more developed in the manga.

I don't think anyone said anything to the contrary. I'm always a bit baffled when people go out of their way to bring that up.
