Should I make a "X days since last time someone bitched about Gohan not being the main character" timer?
You know what'd be funny? If Pan got huge hair.
Piccolo: Let's hope that's the only thing she inherits from your uncle.
Videl: Gohan has an uncle? Gohan, how come you never told me about your uncle?
Gohan: Ehhhhhhhhhh
My various fanfics.See, I didn't say Gohan should be the main character.
Gohan shouldn't be the main character if Dragon Ball thinks it's a series about yelling and punching a lot.
...I mean, the Great Saiyaman saga was basically my favorite.
It was pretty great.

I mean, what if Hercule's afro is genetic?

I feel like the Dragon Ball franchise would be able to split into two separate shows and still work, like how DS 9 and Voyager ran side-by-side.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseSee, I think that's an unfair characterization.
For starters, Dragon Ball has been a lot of things over the years.
Like, at first it was Journey to the West, then it was the Karate Kid a few times.
At one point it became Superman, then eventually it became Terminator.
The Great Saiyaman saga was basically Spiderman. Sorta. Like, Gohan is more of a Peter Parker than he is most other superheroes. For better and for worse.
I mean, he has a bunch of super sentai elements. The Ginyu Force did a number on him.
And I never like it when people try to dismiss other fans by characterizing their opinions as "dislike" or "hatred".

...So you've watched Resurrection F, yeah?
Noticed the conversations we've been having for the last few pages now?
Remember the Cell Games? How his dad threw him in the ring with a monster?
How his dad died and it was his fault?
How some guy took all the credit?
How he became extremely powerful only to get eaten by a bubblegum monster?
How the planet blew up and his dad saved some guy instead of him?

Hey. I'm ok with Gohan not being the main character.
I just don't think he needed to be nerfed completely.
I admit that a lot of my complaints stem from perhaps not being totally satisfied with what the series is now (even with all the awesome things that have happened, I consider late Piccolo Saga to Saiyan Saga stage of the series to be where things were at their peak. Goku was the strongest dog in the yard, but the others could still do stuff even if they didn't actually do stuff).
I just think there's some potential in other areas that Toriyama just refuses to explore, and it's kinda frustrating.
One Strip! One Strip!I just wanna say I meant Pan had like really long hair. Like she's eight and the hair is already reaching her butt and it keeps growing back no matter how often Videl tries to cut it.
My various fanfics. The problem I have and I assume a lot of other people have is that Dragon Ball is essentially running on the Goku/Vegeta rivalry right now. And that wasn't always the case. And when the story wasn't about the Goku/Vegeta rivalry, it was either Dragon Ball, or it was about Gohan.
That's probably why we always complain about both the humans getting shafted, and Gohan getting shafted. Right now, that's happening to them to make more room for Vegeta.
And I don't even like Vegeta that much. So, yeah. I'm salty, whatever. Sure. Say what you want.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!On another note.
I know they eventually erased everyone's memories of Buu. But, did they also erase everyone's memories of that World Tournament? That time Vegeta blew up half a stadium, when Videl broke a man's neck and got beat up, the time Gohan powered up and unmasked himself as the Great Saiyaman in front of his entire class?
And, like, even if those things were wished away eventually, that couldn't have happened right away because the balls would have been inert for, like, six months.
I legitimately want to know the fallout of these things that Super skipped and doesn't care about.
I mean, what's interesting to me about Beerus isn't just his strength, it's the way his strength fits in with him as a character.
...I mean, Super messing with Pan's age also means that Gohan and Videl had her pretty young, so. I mean. A little surprised her dad's not commented on her being a college dropout?
EDIT: I mean, I like Vegeta, and I love what they're doing with him in Super, because it seems like they're taking the piss out of the Goku/Vegeta rivalry every chance they get.
Vegeta had a newly hatched chick making fun of him and I think that's special.
The problem is that as much as they make fun of it, and as much as they show how absurd and dumb Goku and Vegeta are, the show still ultimately takes their side. It gives us more of these ridiculous morons, to the detriment of everyone else.

I've been writing a fanfic that takes place before the Dragon Balls were used to wipe everyone's memories of Majin Buu. (although I never said it was good.) You could imagine everyone starting to get accustomed to it over time, where asking "How did you die?" isn't such a big deal anymore.
And the Super timeline seems to be that it actually IS taking place 5 years after Buu. And no one told us. It's the only explanation. They implied time was passing before Super episode 1 started.

X5
Not really. As much as I joke about Japan's odd tastes, there's probably some guy there doing the exact same thing about America, Canada, etc.
Also, I'd like to apologize to Unnoun for what comes next.
Damn. That's a long time for balls to be inert.
Again, I'd like to apologize. But I believe if I didn't do it, someone would have, so I'd say, I'm the hero of the DBZ thread.
Where's my statue?

One Strip! One Strip! It's less that we hate Dragon Ball and more that we prefer the stuff they're not currently focusing on to the stuff they are.
