Considering that Super didn't change much about the "everyone vs Beerus" segment, I don't think Super will change the roster of fighters that show up. It would make it easy for them to draw the arc out, but I with the BOG adaptation think Toei have shown they're comfortable with focusing the most of their padding on the title fights rather than fleshing out the rest of the characters' fights.
So unfortunately I think it's more likely to see Goku and Freeza standing around and powering up several times per episode.
New headcanon:
Even the Frieza/Freezer/Frieza Clan/Arcosians/Icejins/Frost Demons/whatever can't agree on whatever the hell they're called among themselves. Their dictator insisted on naming the race after himself, but for obvious reasons, they went "screw that" after he was out of the picture.
...I try to find ways to reconcile as many fan works in my head as possible with each other so I don't wind up confused and getting my fanons mixed up between works.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerIs it me, or did Chichi not seem that mad at Goku after he left?
I'm starting to think it's all just a convoluted form of foreplay.
Let's face it, pure Saiyans only being aroused by aggression would make sense.
Which, if true, means we'll have an arc where Gohan doesn't find Videl attractive anymore.

...
Imagine you're married to Goku, a man who thinks marriage is a food and had to have it explained to him that it means he lives in your house. And you're trying to figure out a way to convince him to sleep with you but all he cares about is fighting. What do you do?
You make sex into a form of sparring.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Like, the moment Goku leaves with Whis it's like she drops the angry act. And it seems like Goku knows she doesn't actually mind.
It doesn't even so much seem like she's keeping up appearances given she drops the act around Gohan, Goten and Bulma.
So it really seems like all of it is for Goku's sake.
Has Dragon Ball Super just been a bad Saiyan porno?
For reference, a good Saiyan porno would probably just be Mad Max.

Oh god! Stop making sense!
As for the thing with Krillin and 18.....
Well, I want Krillin to be able to fight, but I hate the bullshit with why 18 isn't involved in the battle.
It doesn't help that no matter what she decides to do, she'd be better at it, whether protecting Maron or going to the battle.
There's really no winning. One of them is getting screwed. I'm starting to think it should have been Krillin cause fuck it, 18 is awesome and she deserved better.
One Strip! One Strip!Headcanon accepted. Chi-Chi screams at Goku to get him in a fighting mood for bedtime shenanigans.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I'm actually surprised that people are taking Toei going "Wanna know how Vegeta becomes SSG? 'Cause we're not telling, haha!" this week rather blasely, doubly so because we're skipping to the start of Resurrection F next week.
And I'd be surprised if anyone here will just accept the King Crimson response if it comes down to it.

...How does Videl know how to cook?
Didn't she have chefs?
...Frankly, I would think Gohan would be the better cook of the two of them, what with being close to Chichi, and helping raise Goten, and surviving in the wilderness and stuff.
...How does Gohan and Videl's relationship work when neither of them is punching things? I mean, they're still cute together, but. I got the distinct impression that they bonded primarily over violence.
I've said this before, but Videl is basically Vegeta in a high school au slash fic.
She met Gohan because how dare someone without her warrior blood be stronger than her.
There are multiple moments where you could replace Videl's dialogue with Vegeta's and the meaning would stay the same.
If Gohan gets weak enough I think Videl might leave him.
She thinks it's cute that he's such a nerd, and it is, but.
In some ways what brought them together is that they meet at the same place from opposite directions.
Videl wants to be the strongest and likes to fight. But she's in a world where, unfairly, she's outclassed. Gohan doesn't like to fight, but, unfairly, he's in a world where he's had to.
Gohan wants to be ordinary and isn't. Videl wants to be superhuman and isn't.

On another note, would Freeza or Vegeta be improved by being voiced by Tim Curry?
My various fanfics....I'm sorry.
When I saw Super Saiyan Videl I sorta composed a whole thing in my head about it. Part fanfic part character analysis and meta.
Like, turning Super Saiyan because of Gohan would basically be the capstone to her arc in the Buu Saga. In a weird and messed up way.
Like, at first, she would love it. She would love the power, she'd be borderline addicted to it.
But as time would go on. As she approached her due date, she would be increasingly aware that it wasn't hers. That she didn't really earn it, that it's just because they didn't use a condom.
And then that combined with parenthood worries and she's thinking it's messed up that she's been thinking of her daughter as a power boost.
So. Like. Ultimately, she'd love Pan, and appreciate her for giving her a chance to feel strong like that, think it was the best gift ever. But there still would be a slight undercurrent of envy and resentment.
And Super did none of that.

...I think the end of the Fortuneteller Baba saga was one of my favorites because Goku got to see his grandpa again.
I adored the first world tournament arc because of how far Roshi was going to help his students progress.
Gohan coming into his own was what was great about the Cell games.
The way Vegeta finally accepted Goku's strength in the Buu Saga was great.
I mean.
The Bingo Scene in Battle of Gods was the single best scene of all of Dragon Ball.
That Vegeta is so willing to humiliate himself shows just how scared he is and how much he cares.
And, so did him knocking out Trunks and sacrificing himself for his family, the Earth, "and yes, even you, Kakarot".
Dragon Ball is capable of interesting things with its characters when it tries. And sometimes by accident.
But now it seems to be consciously avoiding anything with actual depth or sincerity.
Which has been great with Vegeta, if I'm honest. Vegeta has been played completely straight and seriously for so long that letting him be goofy feels like a revelation. It's one of the tricks TFS figured out a long time ago and it's nice to see someone else realize it.
In an odd way just putting Vegeta in goofy and simplistic situations only makes him more complex, not less.
Like, the idea that Vegeta actually is capable of functioning in human society. That Bulma has taken him out to eat at places, that he actually has personal favorites, that all of the establishments in question are still standing.
Like.
Somehow, Vegeta has become more normal and more endearing than Goku.
EDIT: On a somewhat related note, why does Beerus look a little nervous here?
Like. Either he's scared of Vegeta, which he's not, or.
I mean.
...I feel like Beerus has come to like Vegeta and Goku a bit. He'd miss them, maybe. Just a bit.
And he can't destroy every awkward conversation.
EDIT: I like things about Saiyan biology.

...I mean, either way I wish they had shown more of Videl's pregnancy. Because, like, there is a part of me that is curious about how it works with all the Saiyan hybrid stuff, and also part of me that thinks it could be hilarious and adorable.
I think all the time skips are weird and dumb.
I just want a slice of life or a sitcom starring Saiyans with occasional fights. That is what I want out of Super. And. I mean, it gives us that, some of the time. But not enough. And in ways that are frankly a bit dull and uninteresting.
I mean, I love what they do with Vegeta, but it feels like everyone else's characterization is suffering a bit.
I wouldn't mind seeing some of that development between Gohan, Videl and Pan, and it could easily be used as Monster of the Week fodder. But I get it, fans of arc based series hate monster of the week plots, even though the early Dragon Ball hunt was monster of the week mixed with village of the week and wouldn't be unprecedented for the series in that context.
Buldogue's lawyer

I've said before that I'm positive that Gohan didn't lose very much of his maximum potential, he was just able to make up the difference with Super Saiyan. The best thing would've been if Goten and Trunks had grown a little in the time between and had looked a little more like Goku and Future Trunks.
