Pretty sure I haven't touched a New Fifty Two comic. When the name Superman comes up I think of that angry man from the golden age(my favorite), ridiculous 'Silver Age' comics, the post crisis one, the animated series and the Fair for Its Day but still uncomfortably racist technicolor cartoon, none of whom seem like particularly logical or interesting match ups for Goku beyond "he's got a similar origin story".
If I was really going to do a Dragon Ball vs series, I guess Superman or Sailor Moon would be the easiest money makers after Bleach/One Piece/Naruto but the only "rival" series that really makes much sense to me is Saint Seiya. From a pure writing standpoint though I think the best series would have been Dark Stalkers had it not fallen victim to Capcom Sequel Stagnation. The Fusion Reborn fight between Goku and fat!Janemba felt like something right out of Dark Stalkers.
Well, it is implied they all fought him one at a time, so he likely caught them when they were on their own.
One Strip! One Strip!Yes, that was anime filler.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.The actual fight itself is filler, but the manga has him explain how he absorbed the different Kaioshin individually.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!.... So I put this up on the Abridged thread, but this is probably a better place for it, so here it is again:
I stand by it as well.....when I can remember my point, which I'm still not sure I did, but my idea is, do we know Cell has an actual limit in any form?
Now, he clearly doesn't need to keep absorbing people after he assimilates 17 and 18, but he probably still can. Add in Zenkai, and the fact that he can still probably train, and he may be even worse than we thought.
One Strip! One Strip! And if Cell trained for four months...
OK, that joke has gotten old, I'm sorry.
Anyway, I've been thinking...if people still believe that Gohan was acting out-of-character in the Cell Games, either everyone is stupid, or Toriyama just did a crappy job writing Gohan.
And it might actually be the latter. I mean, if you think about it, before the Cell Games, the only time we get evidence that Gohan wants to be a scholar is way back in the Saiyan Saga. After that, Toriyama never brings it up again, obviously assuming that we remembered it.
But if people found it shocking when Gohan told Cell that he didn't like to fight, and he didn't want to kill anyone, then its obvious people didn't remember Gohan didn't want to be a fighter. I personally was fine with the fact Toriyama never brought Gohan's pacifistic nature up after the Saiyans. I didn't want him to hammer in the message. But looking back...maybe he should have.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I'm okay with Gohan not wanting to fight or kill, it's just that level of naivety doesn't work for me.
You can bring up his age all you want but the fact is at this point he's fought and seen some truly heinous beings. He should know by now that they don't stop unless they're stopped. Him giving Cell away out is fine but only after he's demonstrated to Cell he has an actual reason to take it and that he's not just trying to cop out of their fight.
I mean, Cell probably would have reacted the way Frieza did against Goku, but at least at that point they can handle it and Gohan walks away with a valuable lesson.

Cell was going to destroy all life on Earth. He was not going to talk things out. Put up your fucking dukes, Gohan.
My various fanfics.Well, there was a reason why he was giving Cell an option to give up. It was because he knew if he got angry, he'd probably annihilate him.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I'd like to point out that the actual reason Gohan didn't want to fight was because he was afraid of his own power. He was afraid that, if we all out, he would lose control and destroy the Earth. That's what was holding him back and kept him from transforming. Android 16 simply managed to convince him (somewhat) that he wouldn't lose control if he went all out. Then, during the energy class with Cell, Goku had to push Gohan because he was still holding back out of that fear.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Don't know if Cell can still absorb people but he should be able to get Freeza's golden thingy, yes. He is frightening, that was kind of the point.
Same with Buu. But if we talk to much about Buu's potential it inevitably leads to me griping about how he's being shoved to the sidelines instead of being used as Goku's new main rival so I'll stop myself there.
Buldogue's lawyerTo be honest, like a lot of characters, Buu's possibly not that interested in fighting anymore.
In fact, now that's he's free of his darker half, it's possible he won't fight at all unless he's pushed, or in a foul mood.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean, Beerus and the Supreme Kais are supposed to balance the universe, more or less.
I sorta imagine that all of the Supreme Kais together would have roughly equaled one Beerus. Where their power of creation is divided among many individuals, the power of destruction is consolidated.
I mean, East mentions that he was the weakest of them.
And, like, I'm including Elder Kai and Skot in my assessment here.
Anyway. Their respective roles in the universe are the reason Beerus doesn't kill them or destroy the Sacred World of the Kais. It'd be rude.
If they were really in danger of being completely slaughtered he might help out.
If he didn't, and they were all gone. I mean. Eventually he'd run out of things to destroy.
And somehow I don't think he'd like that.

I'd say it's more like All Kaioshin + All Kaio + All Gods = One Beerus.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!

Those two didn't do anything when the Kaioshins were getting murdered by Boo, I so I don't see them helping Yenma either.
