So, on another forum, someone made a topic rfor teh most awesome Earthling moment.
I was struggling to think of something for Bulma - she's been a main character or at least a very important character for the entire series after all. Nothing at all was coming to me..
Until i started the Android Saga.
So there are these androids, right? Gonna wreck shit and destroy the future.
Everyone: Let's train for three years and fight them!
Bulma: Let's gather the Dragon Balls, ask Shenron where Dr. Gero is, and then kill him before he can complete Androids.
Unfortunately Bulma is in the wrong series.
Dragon Ball is here <—————— Logic and Common Sense is here —————->

I believe the logic is that Gero hadn't done anything wrong yet.
They still could have used the wish to find him, and stop him ahead of time.
Not to mention he was part of the Red Ribbon Army, which kinda makes him an accomplice to everything they did during that time(he built all their shit, and their androids, despite what one filler ep in the original series says).
So yeah, Z warriors are stupid.
One Strip! One Strip!I was thinking the exact same thing.
Goku: Well Gero hasn't done anything wrong yet...
Me: What about being the mastermind behind a terrorist organization that killed a bunch of innocent people and tried to murder you and your friends?
Krillin proved to be the Best Character by initially going along with the plan.
So...yeah, Krillin deserved those two hotties.
Speaking of which...Maron?
His daughter with 18, Marron?
That's just not right, Krillin.
Maron isn't canon to the manga though. That page on her also has this note: "Maron shares her name with Krillin's daughter, who was introduced later in the manga, with only a minor spelling difference. The manga writer Akira Toriyama stated, however, he did not name Marron after his old flame. Since Marron, like Krillin, means "chestnut," it is likely that this is a case of the same pun being used by both Toriyama and the anime filler."
Well the point still stands:
They could have used the ball to find him and destroy all his shit before he could finish the Androids.
It must have taken years to create. It's likely he wouldn't be able to build it all again.
Even better if he hadn't transformed himself into an Android yet, because with his gear wrecked, he'd be too old to try again.
It was good that Toriyama tried to think ahead, but he was still pretty lazy about it.
Though considering their warrior mentality, it's possible they all considered even that act to be dishonorable or something like that.

One Strip! One Strip! The Dragon Balls could really have solved a lot of their problems. TFS lampshaded it but people have been saying for years "why didn't they just wish the Saiyan space pods to break down or send them into a sun or something?"
There is probably an infinite number of things they could have done to destroy Vegeta and Nappa before they got to Earth. If only they had a few brain cells.
They can't?
Has that ever been said.
Yeah, just killing him was all they said, but they could have just wreck his shit (as in the Androids if they were still sleeping, which would have possibly worked if Gero hadn't upgraded himself yet, and if he did, Goku would be stronger as a Super-Saiyan). If they did it right, then could get him before he could really be a threat.
They never even tried though, which is annoying.
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah I dunno about that I swear it was one of the early rules but I'm not sure.
For all we know he could have already had Androids ready and they would have been fucked because they rocked up their without any training. It's not like Gero hadn't made any Androids yet - #8 was around since Goku was kid.
point.
I guess since they knew they had three years, and they knew exactly when he would show up, taking that time to get ready for him was better(only slightly) then charging in half cocked.
One Strip! One Strip!I feel the same way. Like how the super awesome Namekian Dragon Balls can't wish back more than one person at once but the crappier Earth version can.
And the balls can't effect anyone beyond their creators' power...but the power of their creators apparently includes creating entire planets from nothing, reversing time and granting true immortality.
I was mistaken about Gero. I thought the kai dub also called him the mastermind behind the RR Army like the Z dub did but all Kai Trunks said was that he was the Army's "resident lunatic."
Not very descriptive, Trunks. I thinkt aht describes most of the people in the army. Oh well.
I'm guessing he's supposed to be the one who built all their nifty gadgets, like the big Terminator and maybe even the thing Black fought Goku with.
But whatever. I'm wondering about 19's and 20's strength. Post-training Piccolo's strength level isn't that quantifiable. All we know is he's weaker than SSJ Goku and Vegeta but how does he compare to Freeza? Did he perhaps reach final forM Freeza levels? Beyond?
I was trying to guage his power level from Gero. Gero absorbed an energy attack from Vegeta and then he took damn near all of Piccolo's energy. Only...Piccolo then beat him with contemptuous ease. So I was thinking maybe he's weaker than Freeza as he shouldn't have gotten such a beating with all that power he absorbed.
But then, at least in the anime, Piccolo says he can't properly use their energy; that the warriors know hwo to expend their ki in short, intense bursts that Gero can't.
So...now I have no idea how strong the damn bastard was.
The dragon balls effects are a little different from power levels. Cell was stronger than Goku but could not teleport. Goku was stronger than Supreme Kaioshin but could not teleport as well as he could, not could he summon blocks of the worlds hardest material out of thin air or paralyze people with his mind. Guldo was not particularly strong but who else could freeze time?
The dragon balls are more like tools for preforming certain tasks, it is a lot easier to dig holes with a shovel right, but if someone a lot stronger than you puts a rock somewhere that shovel just may not be enough for you to move it, because you are a weakling.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture Rack![]()
The energy Gero stole from Piccolo was when Piccolo was suppressed. So he thought it was all of it, because Piccolo's real power was hidden. He may have only stole something like 10% or even less.
There's no way of knowing how strong Piccolo was before his fusion, because 19 and 20 themselves are hard to place.
Okay I love this scene but I have one question. Why the hell is Vegeta naked?
I'm guessing it's meant to be some kind of symbolism but I have no clue what it symbolizes.

If by "his guard was down" you mean he went to sleep Trunks would have plenty of time to attack during the transformation.
