And one of the guidebooks did say that Freeza never trained before that his potential is limitless.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Outside of feeling that Freeza coming back as a Big Bad is dumb in and of itself, the fact that he did so by training for 4 months is so hilariously dumb to me that I can't help by smile at it anymore.
Wait a minute, you can just grab the Dragon Balls before they disperse?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!So... what's stopping the cast from just throwing a weighted net over the Dragon Balls before they disperse so they won't have to hunt for them again when they need them?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's better to have and not need than need and not have. While gathering the Dragon Balls is child's play (literally) by the time Z rolls around, it'd still save time to have them all on hand and somewhere safe. Like Kami's Lookout. And hunting down the Dragon Balls was a fair bit of a chore in the beginning.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! So, I recently bought Jaco the Galactic Patrolman. It was great. Classic Toriyama, pure and simple. But I also really enjoyed Dragon Ball Minus. It seems to be a bit of a controversial subject amongst the fandom, with people saying they prefer the old origin story, and this one just makes Goku a Superman Expy.
...but I really liked it.
There were a bunch of things that made a lot more sense than what was originally implied, like Goku going to Earth when he was 3, and Vegeta surviving because he didn't want to listen to Freeza's orders. And the stuff in Jaco also really helped with the new origin story. Sure, Goku was sent to Earth because Bardock had a hunch that something bad was going to happen, but he wouldn't have survived if Tights hadn't pushed Jaco off a cliff after he peed on her.
So that makes two sisters who saved the universe entirely by accident.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I've only read the plot summary around the time it came out, but I remember not being crazy about the revisions - it's a "fixed what wasn't broken" situation for me.
He... was already a Superman expy in the original, moreso even. The only change I understand is that Goku is 3, and can walk, and had some idea about what he was doing when he arrived on Earth.
I always found it particularly menacing that Saiyan infants were predicted to be capable of surviving on a low-ranked world and would destroy or conquer the planet at some later, yet still young age. I suppose Minus's version does make more sense.
I don't really care for Bardock and Gine. The image of Saiyans being bloodthirsty warriors, and Bardock being that one in a million who gained some empathy worked just fine, even presented some tragedy in Father of Goku when he actually saw who Goku would become.
What else happened with Tights apparently "saving the universe"? How did she do this, she pushed Jaco off a cliff and...?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I dislike the revised origin story on the basis that yeah, I liked the whole "Saiyans send infants to murderize planets because Saiyans are that badass" and I like Bardock as he was in the Father of Goku special more than I do as he was in Minus. In the special, he was frikkin' evil.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariJaco was watching the skies, waiting for Goku's space pod to land. Then he pees on Tights, and, furious, she pushes him off the cliff and into the sea. While he's in the water, Goku's space pod lands, and Jaco misses it. Once he gets up, he continues watching, and assumes Goku's pod just never arrived.
The way it's worded, it's implied that infants still go and murder planets. Bardock and Gine just send Goku without official authorisation.

So why does everyone harp on Frieza becoming stronger than Buu in four months? Goku got something like 375 times stronger in the space of a few days during the Saiyan and Namek sagas. The multiply that by fifty for Super Saiyan.
