Buu wouldn't exist, so nobody would have pissed Beerus off enough.
They could have just partied for a bit. Beerus likes to party. And he's a polite, respectful guest when he feels like it.
He seemed to genuinely like Bulma.
I dunno whether Gohan and Videl would have banged, maybe.
Either way, I don't think it'd have made much difference, since Super Saiyan God doesn't seem to rely on anybody's normal strength.
It seems to work much more like an additive than a multiplier.

- BEERUS: I still need to blow up a planet. It's personal.
- BULMA: Why don't you blow up two planets. Pick two. Any two. We can put them back with the Dragon Balls.
- BEERUS: You can do what now?
- BULMA: Once a year, we get two wishes with the Dragon Balls that can be used for anything.
- BEERUS: Wait, so I can be blowing up TWO PLANETS PER YEAR without consequences?
- BULMA: That's about right. Five if you get the Namekians to help out.
- BEERUS: Congratulations, this is now my party spot forever.
Vegeta's power would've had to be in the millions when he challenged final form Frieza. Vegeta would know how much Frieza's previous forms were, and both were well over a million, and believe he could fight and defeat him.
That Vegeta couldn't go Super Saiyan, even though he felt fury, even though he felt trauma.
There is no logical reason Bardock would be able to go Super Saiyan with a power level of below 20k. Vegeta is a superior breed of Saiyan, and his Zenkai at 18k only pushed his battle power up to 24k, so there's no reason to assume Bardock jumped from 10k to the millions after just one.
Also, it's actually a thing with Episode of Bardock being written by a fangirl. Even in an interview with Toriyama, he's taken aback by her love for the character. He also insists Bardock is nothing special as far as Saiyans go, while she wrote him as Saiyan Jesus.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Vegeta didn't feel trauma, he felt shame and humiliation for the fact that he wasn't as awesome as he thought he was. If having his pride ripped out of his chest and shoved down his throat was enough to trigger a transformation, he would have gone Super Saiyan 2 after Android 18 broke both of his arms.
Goku's an inferior breed and he got one that pushed him from 90k to 3 million. Zenkais are however strong the plot wants them to be.

And honestly, Vegeta becoming a Super Saiyan is one of those things that still sort of bugs me. Up until then, it made sense. If you're a Saiyan and you're strong, and you're not a total dick, then you can probably transform...eventually. But Vegeta...he hadn't reformed by then, and yet he could still do it.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! The only thing that makes sense is that the SSJ tranformation requires two things: A certain amount of power, and a certain amount of anger.
Vegeta had the latter, but he didn't have the former until later.
And if SSJ does require a certain amount of power, who's to say SSJ 2 doesn't?
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariVegeta didn't need to reform, he just needed to be pure of heart. He needed single-minded, absolute focus on who he is and what he wants out of life. Having Frieza out of the way helped because it removed his biggest fetter: the kind of abject terror and intimidation that reduced Vegeta, Prince of All Saiyans to running and hiding and sneaking around trying desperately not to be noticed.
Vegeta could never have transformed on Namek. He had too many fetters restraining him from just being pure, unadulterated VEGETA.
Hell, the fact that he had to resort to exploiting his zenkai while Frieza wasn't looking is proof enough of that. Vegeta is the sort to kick in the door screaming bloody fury and just assume it will be good enough, and here he was practically begging Dende to help him gain the power so that he might be able to put up a fight against the unstoppable horror he could never hope to prevail against.
Frieza had him paralyzed from sheer terror. He knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, he could never win a straight fight. He's known that since he arrived on Namek. He was terrified of Frieza, and that fear was his shackle.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Well, it's the wrong Kamehameha. And besides, we just had Goku day. How many more DB-related days do we need! lol.
I guess that makes sense. It's just that, geez, if Future Trunks didn't show up, and Goku didn't die...the universe would probably be f***ed once Cell was defeated.
It may have been unintentional, but it's amazing how there was always some obstacle stopping Vegeta from destroying the Earth until he generally reformed.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Toriyama on Bardock in the interview with EoB's mangaka.
That's not the same as him saying he thought it was weird how much someone else liked Bardock. There was no judgement passed.
...And he does say Bardock is special, because of how much he helps other lower class Saiyans, as well as his bond with his nuclear family.
And with the thing that one can be promoted if their battle power gets high enough, makes it seem like just having a higher battle power doesn't instantly make you mid-class. It needs to be recognized as being higher first.
Things got a bit busy for Bardock for a bit.
...And that doesn't address the fucked up kinda misogynistic things you said about Eo B's writer earlier.

So more people are experimenting with Unlock Potential and it doesn't turn off ANY ki generating sources, including the Earthling passive.
UP drains at a fixed rate, Earthling passive restores a percentage of your maximum ki. At about 6+ bars of ki, you generate more than the transformation drains, and even if you use supers and ultimates never hit zero long enough to drop out of the form.
So infinite uptime, unless you're KO'd. Best. Transformation. Ever.
Even though Episode of Bardock makes no sense at all, I will say that surviving the explosion of an entire planet (remember, Bardock was engulf by the energy ball that did it, and then got caught in that explosion, so it's safe to say he got badly fucked up) would probably give a Saiyan an pretty nice Zenkai.
But the time travel is pretty stupid.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, now I got a reason to use Guess we should fuse into Vegito on my human.
Increase to all stats on a permanent transformation? Yes please.
(Also, Female Saiyans are not even gonna come close to the damage output of a female human now, even accounting for the high rate of Z assists...)

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Gohan got half-breed vigor. The full blooded humans are still largely worthless.

Babidi would never even get the opportunity to control Vegeta, because Vegeta's frustration at Goku for not fighting him wouldn't come up. Either Goku or Vegeta would fight Dabura, they would wreck his shit, and then move on to Babidi's inner chamber.
