I'm not sure if it's an official confirmation, but apparently Extreme Butoden has a release date for Spain.

Could this game most definitely come west!?
Keep lightly with a grain of salt, though.

One hundred episodes.
Ninety-eight of which are filler.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Especially since Unlock Potential has, to my knowledge, always been the name of the Guru power up.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's not Guru's power up in Xenoverse though. Old Kaioshin does the ritual for your character, complete with walking around you in a circle and making you sit still.
It's obviously given a different name to distinguish it since it operates differently, but it is definitely still representing Old Kaioshin's method. "Unlock Potential" is vague enough to cover more than Guru's power up. Yes, it was used to describe the potential unlock Guru did for Gohan and Kuririn in Budokai and Burst Limit, but it's not the proper name for the technique. It's kind of silly to use the same names to say they're the same technique when it's not a proper name and the game outright tells you it's still Old Kaioshin's ability.
I think the critique is the version we got feels more like Guru's version, so they should have made Guru the mentor instead of Old Kai. That way no one would have gotten their hopes up.
Of course Guru is way to large to be in the game proper so while I share this critique, I also realize it's my own fault for having certain expectations in the first place.

Of course, they could have just made it like Gohan's power up and called it a day.

True but they gave Gohan's transformation a different name so they're obviously making some kind of distinction.
It should be noted that neither Unlock Potential or Potential Unleashed is an official name. They're names the video games provided because the video games need to name things to make attacks out of them. Both Guru and Elder Kaioshin have the ability to draw out a person's potential, but they never actually put a name to these abilities; they're just drawing out that potential.
For this reason, "Unlock Potential" versus "Potential Unleashed" is purely a semantic debate. Elder Kai's power-up can be called Unlock Potential even though Guru's is Unlock Potential because neither of them is actually called Unlock Potential. It's just a question of whatever the latest game is calling it.
And now Potential no longer looks like a word. Thanks, guys.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Yesterday as I was working the register at work a kid and his dad come in. The kid couldn't have been older than nine or ten at the most, and he looks to us and says, "Do you know Dragonball Z?" Then he goes on and on about how he loves it and his favorite character is Goku, and he's really looking forward to Revival of F. Good to see the next generation coming up right.
To put it simply:
The skill is the same.
The problem is, our CaC does not have Gohan's hidden potential to make it as powerful as his version of it is.
(Though I have to wonder why it is even an ability when it should have just been a separate Gohan entirely... I mean, they made a separate God Goku when that is actually a transformation...)
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI just wish all of the skills were available for our CACs.
All of them.
...At least, all of the ones used by playable characters.
They didn't include Demigra or the Great Apes, so, okay, fair enough, their movesets can stay exclusive, whatever.
Super Saiyan 4 and Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan aren't considered transformation skills, so those can stay exclusive to Goku and Vegeta and Gogeta. That's fine.
I mean, Super Spirit Bomb, Advanced Geometry and the Puppy Dog Punch were already in the game, and DLC Pack 1 added them for our characters, so.

I really wish that the Final Kamehameha was in the game.
But hey, at least they remembered to give Vegetto the Big Bang Kamehameha. A move that he invented and that Gogeta never actually used, and I think the only reason Gogeta's attributed with the Big Bang Kamehameha is because of Gogeta SSJ 4's version.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimari...Oh fuck you Ginyu.
I mean, seriously, Super Saiyan seems as much like a mental/spiritual thing as anything, so that really shouldn't work like that, especially since Ginyu couldn't do the kaioken and kamehameha and stuff in the series.
...Frankly, Majin characters should get an absorption move that works more like Ginyu's Body Change skill.
Saiyan parents come up with nicknames.

Yes, it is a pretty big thing over there. Official merchandise and everything.
